why isnt this a movie or show?!

I think the first 7-9 books would make a good TV series. I think everything about this series sort of went down hill since ardure was introduced. And wasn't it interesting that munin concept was pretty much got replaced by ardure after it was introduced.

God since the first time i have read this book i have wondered why they haven't turned this into a movie or show yet. it just makes me a little worried that they would totally screw up the casting for anita blake, with someone like megan fox, blah XP

Try the Mercy Thompson novels by Patricia Briggs. A strong female lead character, and great secondary characters

I personally prefer Anita Blake over Sookie, did anyone consider that maybe LKH won't let them change her work. If you read the Sookie books and watched True Blood you know how much liberty the writers took. The show doesn't follow the books and when it does its loosely. They made changes that totally are uncharacteristically beyond wrong to the characters, maybe LKH doesn't wasn't them screwing up her work.

She should go to HBO they would have a greater ability to show more of the sexuality and they make great movies. The key would be getting the right producers and directors that share her vision.

Last I read from Laurell herself was that the were talking about it, but couldn't agree. It would almost need a Mature rating or a rated R film to truly do the story justice. I would love to see it on film, but I would also be very disappointed if it turned out crapy.

The fact that in order to stay somewhat true to the material it would have to air on Hustler or Playboy TV kinda puts a dent in its marketability.
