Amazon recently opened a Spanish eBooks section in their Kindle Store, giving us access to many popular books in Spanish.

While most of the books there aren't aimed at learners of the language, re-reading in Spanish a book you've already read in your native tongue can be a wonderful way to practice and gain confidence. Highly recommended to check out!

And if you don't own a kindle, this is just one more reason to get one :)

Elliott Turner | 1 comments So stoked about this. I feel like Kindle, the Nook, and even Netflix have dropped the ball on En Espanol media content.

Dropping the ball is exactly the phrase, Elliott. I recent wrote this about the "gap" in ebooks in Mexico and much of the Third World.

Part of what it says is that it seems to me, living in Mexico and other L.A. countries, is that they are "skipping over" Kindle. Going to tablets. Even though tablets cost more, many of the yuppies in these countries would rather use and iPad than buy a laptop and reader.

I started realizing this when publishing the Spanish version of this book http://www.amazon.com/Just-WAKE-UP-eb...

I was all "Kindlizing" it, but the author made it clear that none of his fans had Kindles, but many had tablets or read on PC's.
