As a lifelong Phillies fan, frankly Frank, I couldn't be happier that the Mets find themselves in this current and hopefully long-lasting morass.

Ugh! I will hope that you are wrong. Perhaps this will be the season that it all turns around for my Mets. Here's hoping anyway....

Harold Titus (haroldtitus) I would prefer seeing the SF Giants back in the playoffs again, scoring more runs and thwarting the Phillies.

I would love to see the Phillies thwarted as well Harold, but am desperate to have my Mets "in it" beyond Memorial Day! Met fans ask for very little these days!

Rick Gillispie | 4 comments Come on Frank and Harold. You guys don't wanna see that powerhouse that is the Miami Marlins win it. LOL Cincinnati fan here. My hope is just to be competitive for the season and have a shot at the end.

Hi Rick, I think all of us just hope to be competitive. And yes, Marlins fans have much to be excited about. New ballpark, outstanding young pitching staff, and my shortstop!!!

My lack of optimism regarding my Mets is part of the reason I am forced to create my own baseball world in my novels. It's all good there!

Rick Gillispie | 4 comments Like you Frank I love Baseball. I enjoy the minors for the reasons Harold had said earlier. Living near Nashville I see some Triple A games every year.

I was born in raised in Florida and do not like the Marlins. From day one I didn't care for them. From their two bought Championships to changing their name.

Fingers crossed for you about Santana. Baseball and New York need him back this year.

Madson's loss may be too much to be competitve.

Jim | 23 comments What I'd like to see is a season where a week from the end it was all stillup for grabs by anyone. If I could have that I would be happy with any winner-even Cincy, but I would prefer my Cardinals or the dodgers (especially if they would move back to Brooklyn.

Rick Gillispie | 4 comments From most of the talk I hear. The National league is up for grabs. I hear from 9 to 11 teams with a shot at playoffs.

Rick - I think that's why a lot of people like the National League better. Sometimes it seems like the AL is just the same old thing year after year...

What is it about this guy or is it the Yankees?

It's amazing - I wrote this article March 25th and people are still clicking in every day. What is it about Joba Chamberlain that has baseball fans so intrigued? Check it out! Let me know what you think...

Last year you had three games on the last night that determined the playoff picture. It doesn't get any better than that.I think ESPN has a special about it tonight.
