I still haven't read this, though I should be getting it from my library ebooks soon. I will definitely add my review
Please do! I have to eat crow because I did get the second one and plan to start it soon. I really like the way E.L writes and my biggest problem in the book is that I just really am not fond of Ana. I don't really buy what E.L is trying to sell us about her. I don't think Christian really would have found her very desirable. But hey it's fiction right?!

I loved the male protagonist, Christian. He is a perfectly designed character that we can see transform through the trilogy. He is flawed and damaged but also redeemable. Is Ana his salvation? I am going to assume by the third book that she is. Hopefully I will find her character less annoying in the other two books.
WOW they are going to make this into a movie? I applaud Mrs. James for keeping some control over the script and casting choices, good move this will keep Hollywood from ruining the book. I just wonder how the ratings board is going to keep this rated R. I guess if they keep the profanity to a minimum it would be possible and give us the sexual scenes more along the lines of what the 1990's movie Nine and Half Weeks did it could happen.
I know the book has received a tremendous amount of press and yes I do think it deserves the accolades that Mrs. James is receiving. She has taken a lot of readers (including myself) way out of our comfort zones, but instead of putting the book down we can't put it down. This books is like jumping into the deep end the first day the pool opens without sticking your toe in first. When you come up for air it will take a minute to catch your breath, but you will tell your friends to come on in it's worth the shock.
