13. Copper was very young to be married. Why was that so easily accepted in those times?

Margaret Chind I agree with Heidi from what I know of history. If she was able to bare children, she was able to marry.

Amy Women didn't have the opportunity for furthering their education, nor was is necessary. They didn't have the right to vote, buy land, or do anything else. It was their “job” to marry and bear a family, because the Bible had told them to procreate, and whether they believed or not, it was expected. If they did not, they were labeled “witches” or worse.
