Johannes Sælsen | 1 comments Hi I am looking for an illustrator for a book cover for a short story.

It needs to be drawn or digital, so no photographic details.
Fit to Kindle

Mostly looking for someone to get their first tries for this. Mostly because I am also starting out writing stories. So we can help each other.

Kind regards
Johannes

Andrea Churchill | 11 comments Hello, I am looking for an illustrator to do a book cover for my dark fantasy. The story involves a creepy forest and a creature. For the front cover I have an idea of an entrance to a forest, a bunch of trees, grown close together. They are thin and decayed. A hand is extended out of the trees, in a way saying "come here" or "come in". The hand is dirty, with long fingers and overgrown, jagged fingernails.

Reply if interested.

Cathi Stevenson (cathis) | 7 comments I've added a small number of ready-made covers to my collection. I can spend days making each these, so I don't know if I'll ever have the large collections some designers produce, but you might see something you like. Scroll down past the covers on this page, you'll find a round icon that will take you to the ready-made covers: http://cathistevenson.com/word/book-c...

K.M. Frontain (kmfrontain) | 1 comments Edit 15 Feb 2015: Thank you to everyone who expressed an interest. I've signed a contract with an artist. If I have more jobs, I'll come back to this thread in the future.

Hello. I'm looking for a cover artist/illustrator willing to do original artwork for my series. It's in the high fantasy genre with dark/horror elements. The series also has glbtq content, therefore the artist must not be someone who would find glbtq subject matter objectionable. The artwork will not involve smut, just to make that clear. I'm not interested in smutty covers. Although the stories involve relationships, this is high fantasy, which means I need an artist able to illustrate mythical creatures (dragons, gryphons, angels, minotaurs, etc.) and who can also portray human/elvish/dwarvish characters in historical clothing and armour (similar to 1600 European fashion or thereabouts). The artist must also be able to draw ghouls/zombies. I'm looking for the right to use the work for both ebooks and print novels and the right to use the cover art to promote my work. The artwork must be for my series only and not available to any other author, as in I want exclusive rights to the artwork. Send me a PM if you are interested.

Hello M.J.

Here's my blurb from the back cover of "Into the Vines." My release was January 21st 2015. Thank you.

ps. You like mythical and fantasy ... I wrote about realism w/ elements of mystique. :)

back cover ... Into the Vines is a novel of discovery, personal triumph and heroism. French Bleu, a vintage-jazz nightclub in Paris offers a reprieve to its inhabitants from death, illness and captivity.
Olivier is a pilot who rescues stranded and desperate souls from famine and war torn areas of Africa, while Daniela, a young nurse, seeks that which is amiss in her own life. Brie, a strong woman, must find a destiny which awaits her own ambition. She celebrates a milestone birthday after encountering an illness, bringing grace and experience in her search for something more.
Daniela dreamed. “I want to be as confident as Brie on a sunny day in Savannah in the summertime.” From the vineyard cooking school in the garden-like Loire Valley, where these three lives meet, to the streets of Paris, where fate brings blessings from angst and longing. This story revels in realism.
This sanctuary seemingly held an inspirational deity as they witnessed a spiritual unity on the Ceremonial Cliffs. Hawa dreams of flying a plane someday, while Francis possesses natural talents of the musical kind. Together they keep a secret for fear of retribution.
“I heard LOVE lasts forever and my mom says there are all kinds of love. So maybe you should find another kind of love, since your first love lasted forever,” said Francis.

POlARITY IN LOVE by Brenda Vicars (YA contemporary to be published 2015)

He’s black. She’s white. They’re fifteen and in love. They’ve kissed only twice and live 200 miles apart, but they’re confident no obstacle can break their bond. POLARITY, so named by her ever-unraveling, borderline-personality mother, knows how to navigate human minefields. ETHAN, heroic like his father who died in Afghanistan, is immune to common peer pressures that can derail young men in the hood.
Unbeknownst to Polarity, a prostitution gang targets Ethan’s younger sisters, and he has no faith that the law will protect the girls. As he withdraws into his mission to save his family, Polarity is perplexed by changes in him, especially after he’s charged with felony assault—and admits he’s guilty.

Vardan Partamyan (vardanpartamyan) | 429 comments Zach wrote: "its pretty cool i like it"

thanks so much, Zach! What would you or wouldn't you change in it? The concept actually incorporates the themes of the book - it is an interstellar - mind exploration weird fiction where the background is the Indian Samsara - the circle of life and the name of my main character is Samsarian... so basically playing around with the idea of circlicity (that is not an actual word) of life and love and career and journey in general and everything else in between :)

message 889: by Zach (new)

Zach | 6 comments I think that sounds really cool. If I had to change anything on this cover I would probably a slightly , slightly bigger spacing between the letters and possibly underling the author name and make the underline dots that are a different color than red and slightly bigger than the ones used in the lettering.
