The Maze Runner by James Dashner
Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
I loved both but for different reasons! Maze Runner was suspenseful, and had a fast-pace to it, but Scorch Trials was a bit dry(no pun intended). I liked Hunger Games because it was a completely new topic and had well thought out characters, but that said, it took me forever to get through Mockingjay and the romance side of the book began to overshadow the main plot.
*It can be about the whole series or just the first books!
Thanks for all the posts!

The Hunger Games! The Maze Runner was kinda slow and not as exciting. Anyways, i also read The Maze Runner after I read DIvergent, so of course it sucked compared to Divergent

For me, I would choose The Maze Runner as being better. I loved both books, but I just felt more attached to the adventure and the characters in the Maze Runner.
Maze Runner... by far.
I mean since the first pages of the first book you just can't stop reading.

I used to think The Hunger Games.... and then I picked up The Maze Runner.
Definitely The Maze Runner - sorry!
Still, I love The Hunger Games more than some could believe possible.

rating=1-10
Hunger Games=8
The Maze Runner=10
(I have only gotten to read #1 of Maze Runner because my library didn't have the others. And #1 of Hunger Games because #2 killed me just reading the first chapter.)

the maze runner starts out a lot faster than the hunger games and is mostly a fast paced all throughout the book compared to the hunger games. And it depends on if you want a male or female perspective, male=maze runner female=hunger games. if you like a slow start with a build up go with the hunger games and if you like fast paced from beginning to end go with the maze runner.
DO you guys mean the 1st book or the whole series???
if you mean the first book hunger games wins, but if you mean whole series i think maze runner by a long shot. here's how i feel the books should be rated.
Maze Runner:
Book 1 - 8.5/10
Book 2 - 9.5/10
Book 3 - 8.5
Hunger Games
Book 1 - 9/10
Book 2 - 8/10
Book 3 - 7/10
overall the hunger games was a good book but the series started getting worse and worse, while the maze runner left you in suspense and wanting more. the only thing i didn't like about the maze runner was how the ending left to many questions unanswered.

The Kill Order is out. It is a prequel to the Maze Runner series and answers some of the questions you may have.
I prefer The Hunger Games to be honest.
It felt like a more straight forward story/book.
Whereas The Maze Runner kinda got on my nerves now and again when everyone was being so cryptic towards Thomas. Dashner's fault!
And a lot of things didn't really make sense......but I did enjoy this book - just not as much as The Hunger Games.
