Fought Over Any Good Books Lately?

I think our book group is pretty awesome so far, but maybe that's just me! Has anyone ever had a really bad book group experience? Do tell!

I don't know if this counts, but one time at the Teen Book Discussion group that I run at the library, NOBODY had read the book, A Wizard of Earthsea.
It was ironic, because it was the book chosen for The Big Read, where all library patrons are encouraged to read the same book.
And it was bad timing, because that was the session to which my boss chose to come, and observe the group. Oops!
I had everyone go out into the library, and find three books they HAD read to tell the group about.
