SOLVED book about 2 girls who have to work on a school project together and one is an outcast? [s]

This one is a children's book I read when I was little. I don't think it was tween/YA. It was about 2 girls who were assigned to work together on a project. I seem to remember that the one girl was outcast/talked about but it turned out she was really great at art and they made a good project. But the little girl had some kind of home issues that were found out? I can't remember anymore than that :(

Is this The Hundred Dresses? The outcast girl talks about how she has one hundred dresses at home and everyone, including the protagonist, thinks she's a liar. Then it turns out that she's a wonderful artist, and has drawn 100 dresses.
