Vincent Van Gogh Irises

The purple bearded iris is my all-time favorite flower. I believe it is strong and majestic, masculine and bold. In Van Gogh's painting, I'm not sure of his reasoning to have the contrasting white iris, but to me it does make a statement: Dare to be different!

Yes, Monet is 'pretty', I like that, but I also like Hopper, especially his stark lines and angles.
