Fran (franswims) | 778 comments I don't watch Hank and John... I watch like everyone else though. I hate braces.

Ah! I knew I'd heard it before!

@Kyra: Something about a squirrel?

message 406: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1053 comments (Laughs) Yes, Ducky. The homocidal squirrel.

@Frances: Dude, I know. I got my full mouth yesterday.

I just got spacers. But I won't get braces for another 6 months or more.

*Plonks down orange carton*
*Climbs on top*
*Waves hands dramatically*
I HAVE HAD BRACES FOR TWO FREAKING YEARS AS OF LAST AUGUST. They have yet to mention how much longer these things will be on my teeth. I only just got rubber bands, too!
*Sighs dramatically*
*Bows*
*Steps off box*
*Picks up box and walks off*

LiveLoveTumble | 350 comments My turn!!!
Well I'VE had braces in elementary school, then got them off, then got them on again last year and still have them. Then orthodontist put on rubber bands, then took them off, then put them on again, then just at night.

message 411: by Kyra (new)

Kyra (Nikara) | 1053 comments (Makes sympathetic face) I'm supposed to have these on at least another year. But, man, my teeth huuuurrrrt!!! I do not like having a full mouth at all.

And I have volleyball tryouts on my birthday! I'd far rather be able to lay back and do my own thing on my birthday, thank you very much, but it can't really be helped, can it? (Sigh) Oh well.

Jocelyn (joc113) | 1326 comments Mod
I can't remember what I did on my birthday. Once my mother tried to tell me we'd go shopping on it, and you what to know what happened? I was crying for the next 30 minutes until she apologized and told me we didn't have to go until December.

Robin | 1223 comments Mod
Um. Both my parents were working and my brother went to a friend's house for a party. I called my best friend, biked to get coffee, and then watched television alone. I kinda loved it, though.

message 414: by Jocelyn (new)

Jocelyn (joc113) | 1326 comments Mod
Ya know, that's not so bad.

Actually, I think I made cookies on my birthday this past year. Oatmeal Craison, my favorite!

message 415: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 350 comments At the gym today the whole class sang happy birthday to me super loud and the entire gym was staring and I was just cracking up. And my coach gave me a sticker that I'm wearing right now but she wouldn't let me put it on my leotard. And it's not even my birthday yet. XD

message 416: by Mel (new)

Mel | 956 comments WHEN'S YOUR BIRTHDAY?!

message 417: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

Jocelyn (joc113) | 1326 comments Mod
I love having sleepovers at Kyra's house on the 4th-5th because then we all get up at midnight and sing happy birthday to Tumble. Double birthdays! Woo-hoo!

message 419: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 350 comments Yup! But she's not doing it this year :( At least I don't think she is....

message 420: by Jocelyn (new)

Jocelyn (joc113) | 1326 comments Mod
No, I don't believe so...

message 421: by Kyra (new)

Tuesday! :D Tuesday is such a magical day. :))) Last Tuesday I got The Host in the mail, and every Tuesday one of my new favorite animes, Amnesia comes on. <3 Tuesday!

message 423: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 778 comments I'll get mine off the summer after 9th grade.

I spent my last birthday at the pool. Then I packed because I was sleeping over my friends and they we went to an amusement park in Ohio for four days! It was really fun.

message 424: by LiveLoveTumble (new)

LiveLoveTumble | 350 comments I think if I spent my birthday in the pool I would probably get frostbite and hypothermia and die. XD

message 425: by Mel (new)

Mel | 956 comments XD I'd do it! I'd swim in a pool in wintertime! Then everyone would have to believe I'm a vampire, eh, Ducky?

message 426: by Robin (new)

Robin | 1223 comments Mod
...It's a blizzard here. Up to my knees. It's twenty 'till 11 and I just took a walk. It was wonderful.

message 427: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 778 comments It snowed like 2 inches here. That's the worst because it's enough for certain things to be cancelled, not enough for other things, and makes everything generally icky.

message 428: by Robin (new)

Robin | 1223 comments Mod
Yeah...
It's supposed to rain tomorrow and it's gonna make it all slushy. :(

message 429: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 778 comments Already rained here. So, now it's icy and cold and miserable.

message 430: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 778 comments Which is why I'm wearing my rainbow pony shirt and am on goodreads!

message 432: by Robin (new)

Robin | 1223 comments Mod
Hahaha, nice!
I'm wearing a navy Gap sweater with white striped elbow pads. I tried it on and some random lady shopping at the store was like "You look really gorgeous in that" and I was like "Thanks..." It was a little odd.

message 433: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 778 comments Haha, the one time I was trying something on and there was a lady next to me trying on bathing suits (in the middle of the winter too...) and she was like, "I need a second opinion, how does this look?" and it really wasn't flattering at all it was like two sizes small so I was just like, "Uh, I think you need a different size." and then ran back into the dressing room.

Well I'm a unicorn!

{My favorite book before I read MBS was The Unicorns' Secret}

message 438: by Mel (new)

Mel | 956 comments My sister read a book about unicorns once. It was a Magic Tree House, I think. Such a disrespect toward unicorns. XP Now INKHEART knows what unicorns are. And The Iron Fey, too.

And so the graceful, ethereal unicorn trotted off into the distance, her pale-skinned companion flitting behind, darting into the shadows to avoid the fiery sunset...

message 439: by Jocelyn (new)

Jocelyn (joc113) | 1326 comments Mod
Don't get me wrong, it's a great series, but Magic Tree House doesn't do anything mythical justice.

message 440: by Mel (new)

Mel | 956 comments Of course not. Mel has no manners, so she's just gonna outright say that she found it very pathetic, even when she was in third grade and everybody was obsessed with it.

message 441: by Jocelyn (new)

Jocelyn (joc113) | 1326 comments Mod
I never read it.

message 442: by Mel (new)

Mel | 956 comments I think I read the one with the ninjas for a book report, and then sat there, thinking my famous line, "What is wrong with the world?" XD

message 443: by Jocelyn (new)

Jocelyn (joc113) | 1326 comments Mod
Oh, I love that line. It goes with every conversation. Seriously.

message 444: by Mel (new)

Mel | 956 comments Yep. That's my catchphrase, buddy. I'm a very brooding person sometimes. Not my fault the world is backwards! And people are backwards!

But that's probably just me, considering I find everybody backwards. XD

message 445: by Robin (new)

Robin | 1223 comments Mod
My mum and brother loved Magic Tree House. I never really got into it. I didn't really read because I couldn't really read until I hit third grade when my teacher handed me Inkheart and the whole gig of reading caught my fancy and I realized I wasn't reading because everything was too easy. xD

message 446: by Jocelyn (new)

Jocelyn (joc113) | 1326 comments Mod
Wow. The only thing I've ever found moderately difficult to read is LOTR. So much extra confusing language!

message 447: by Mel (new)

Mel | 956 comments INKHEART IS BEAUTIFUL! <3
I don't remember when I turned into a bookworm, but I know I turned into an OBSESSED bookworm when I read Harry Potter in fourth grade. After that, I realized I was really not from Earth.

message 448: by Robin (new)

Robin | 1223 comments Mod
Third grade was the first year we did standardized testing and the reading comp. part told you your reading level. Mine was that of the average 11th grader's. x)

message 449: by Jocelyn (new)

Jocelyn (joc113) | 1326 comments Mod
I turned obsessed in Kindergarten. I actually read my kinder report card last week, and it said in various words, "Jocelyn should continue to read" or "Jocelyn needs to pay attention instead of reading." Honestly!! XD

message 450: by Mel (new)

Mel | 956 comments XD Coolio. I didn't really talk to people in kindergarten, which I suspect was foreshadowing my general dislike of humans... O_o
