I would make a Horcrux. Not so I could live forever, because I am not much into that, but to prevent me being killed before my time, yes I would. I would destroy it after I felt my life was done so I could die.

...i do think you have a valid point...but i also think that the most imporant part of a horocrux is not destroying it when you feel that you've had enough but rather the fact that you are taking another human beings life, just so that you can a span more onto yours....
it's like cutting an inch from the top of a blanket and stitching it onto the bottom...it doesn't make the blanket any longer, it just gives the sewer the impression that it does:(
