Downtown Abbey?

Do any of you watch Downtown Abbey? It caught my attention the other day when I saw the name Crawley (my last name is Crowley). Just wanted to know if its a good show?

I've seen some and they are ok. A few bits here and there don't like (squeamish ;) ) and series two isn't for me but my dad as stuff loves it :)

Serena: I TOTALLY agree; I've never seen the Tudors but I don't like that in ANY movie! :P very unnecessary in my opinion. :/

Exactly! I'm a HUGE TV show fan, I watch 'em more than movies. But Showtime and HBO are the worst! There are a few that, thankfully, don't have unnecessary naughty bits. So embarrassing to watch.

Right now I'm kind of addicted to Heroes on netflix, but I may give this show a go afterwards. I don't know too much about that time period.

Its more gory . There aren't many and I am just really sensitive/squeamish ;) I think in episode 1 or 2 there was one unnecessary scene lets say. Otherwise pretty clean in the area - of what I've seen anyway. And I know!! What do people include it!! What is the need!?!

It's Amazing.I love Downton Abbey and have both seasons on dvd.It's set in england in the 1900s.The charactors are great and loveable.

Lady Sybil believes in women's rights,that women should work,and IMO isn't romantic.She is likes poltics(sp?)and doesn't want to just get married and do nothing.I love Lady Sybil and she is one of my favorite charactors but she is IMO the most modern of the women.

Have you seen Mr. Selfridge? The Paradise is good (it's British, after all LOL), but I liked MS better, I think.

It's about a girl who works in a store called The Paradise. It's kinda like Downton Abbey slash Larkrise to Candleford. It reminds me of Larkrise to Candleford because it's got all the differences between the lower class and the upper class, since The Paradise is a store for the upper class, and it reminds me of Downton Abbey because it shows the upper class managers of the store vs. the lower class workers. It's very intrigueing; and I'm gonna tape the third episode tonight so I can watch it tomorrow! :D
