Sterling Gate Books (sterlinggatebooks) | 12 comments Fiji is an historical novel I co-wrote with my son, James Morcan. Released late 2011, the novel has already had stints on Amazon's bestseller lists. It has also received excellent reviews - here on Goodreads it is currently rated 4.47.
Regards from New Zealand,
Lance Morcan

KOMET | 698 comments I just ordered your novel a short time ago via Amazon. From what I've read about it, it brings to mind Typee: A Peep at Polynesian Life by Herman Melville, which I read about 20 years ago.

Will be curious to see how your novel stacks up, because I'm already intrigued about its subject matters. Besides, I'm a fan of historical novels.

Have never read Typee, but it's now on my reading list. Just read the synopsis for it and it does sound like a lively slice of history.
Happy reading with Fiji and best from Down Under.
