Oh, how appropriate for March. Maybe I'll have to check him out!

message 18: by Heather (new)

Heather (messybar) | 1307 comments Indeed, Donna. I hope you do. I read a couple of books from the series a month and have to pace myself, or it would be the only thing I ever read. lol

message 19: by Susan (susayq ~), Moderator (new)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments Oh Donna! Go get the first book and get to reading ;) he gets better with each book!

message 20: by Donna (last edited Mar 01, 2012 01:48AM) (new)

Donna How convenient that I needed an "N" book for the My Hero challenge, so I added Naked in Death.

message 21: by Lina (last edited Mar 01, 2012 01:55AM) (new)

Lina | 5563 comments Ok, all this talk about Roarke has renewed my libido interest. Think I'll have to make sure I knock down a couple of "In Death"s this month.

message 22: by ~Megan~ (new)

~Megan~ (megadee) I just finished the audio of Creation in Death...so good!

message 23: by Heather (new)

Heather (messybar) | 1307 comments Maybe March should be In Death Month. lol

Maybe!

message 27: by Donna (new)

Donna Okay, I just spent $8 on Roarke. He better be good. ;)

message 28: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20797 comments LMAO! Oh, dear, Donna! I guess we should have said that most Public Libraries have him for download. You can do it from home.

message 29: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20797 comments Then again, your library might not have the first couple on audio.

message 30: by Heather (new)

Heather (messybar) | 1307 comments He's completely worth it!

message 31: by Donna (new)

Donna I haven't had much luck with libraries. Either don't have the book or if they do, there's a wait list and for some reason, I never get a notice of availability. Don't know what's going on??

Is audio better? Admittedly, never tried an audio book.

Anyway, started the book, and so far so good. His description kinda reminded me of Adam Lambert - lol!

message 32: by Susan (susayq ~), Moderator (new)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments Donna, I have never cared for audiobooks, but listening to this series is wonderful! If our library had them all on audio, I'd listen to each one.

message 33: by Heather (new)

Heather (messybar) | 1307 comments I've only read the series via audiobook Donna and I can't imagine reading them any other way at this point. The author's voice/pace/inflection is so ingrained that I wouldn't be able to pick up a book and read it and still enjoy it on the same level. But, that's just me and my own quirkiness. The books are great reads either way.

message 34: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20797 comments Yeah, if you've never listened to audio, this is the one to start with, LOL!

message 35: by Donna (new)

Donna Do the characters have voices or is it just one narrator?

message 36: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20797 comments Donna, in the In Death series it is just one narrator. However, Susan Ericksen, the narrator, is excellent. Amazing, really.

message 37: by Susan (susayq ~), Moderator (new)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments and she does the best Irish accent when she's reading Roarke. Just makes him all the more yummy ;)

message 38: by Lisa Kay, Moderator (last edited Mar 04, 2012 06:01AM) (new)

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20797 comments Yes, it is a charming Irish accent with a devilishness to it, LOL!

message 39: by Donna (new)

Donna Hmm. Well, maybe I'll have to expand my horizons with an audio sometime. Enjoying the first installment so far :).

message 40: by Heather (new)

Heather (messybar) | 1307 comments Glad to hear it Donna!

message 41: by Donna (new)

Donna Heather wrote: "He's completely worth it!"

Yup. Gotta agree with you, Heather. Definitely money well spent!!
