message 10: by Chuck (new)

Chuck Bailey (chuck_bailey) | 63 comments I just wanted to say that this was my favorite part of the hangout last night! It was so much fun to chat with other women and not just talk about house wife pron, but to just sit back and let our nerdy sides show. It was also great to see that my friends and I aren't the only adult women who have fictional character "To do" lists. X3

My list!
1. Fenris (DA2)
2. Dean Winchester (Supernatural)
3. Gerald Tarrant (Coldfire Trilogy)
4. The 10th Doctor (Doctor Who)
5. Geralt of Rivia (The Witcher books)

Umm I sense a pattern. Lol ;D

message 11: by Cassi (new)

Cassi Reed (amethstdrgn) | 13 comments My list:

Captain Malcolm Reynolds - Firefly

Geralt of Rivia - The Witcher

message 16: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie 1. Malcolm Reynolds, Firefly.
2. Alistair from DA
3. Nathan Drake, Uncharted
4. Jamie Fraser, the Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon

message 17: by Kate (new)

Kate (kathenwood) | 8 comments Stephanie wrote:
4. Jamie Fraser, the Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon

It's the accent, isn't it? And the wearing-nothing-under-the-kilt Scottish thing. And, you know, I have a thing for redheads.

By the way, I did mean to add Tallis to my list, but the other five kind of jumped before I could slide her in.

message 18: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie It's the accent, isn't it? And the wearing-nothing-under-the-kilt Scottish thing. And, you know, I have a thing for redhea..."

Definitely the accent and the red hair. He's a manly ginger!

message 19: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn Lancashire (klancashire) | 21 comments 1. Mulder, X-Files
2. The Doctor (new series but yes, all of them)
3. Curran, Kate Daniels Series
4. Packard, Disillusionists Series
5. Alistar, DA (a popular choice it seems)

Best game ever.

message 20: by Diego (new)

Diego (naftman) Sarah Kerrigan (human Kerrigan) from StarCraft
Touko Aozaki from Kara no Kyoukai
Ellen Ripley from Alien
Asha Greyjoy from A Song of Ice and Fire
Femshep from Mass Effect

message 21: by Keith (new)

Keith (keithatc) Not a very unique list I'm afraid:

Asha Greyjoy (Song of Ice & Fire)
Mal (Firefly)
Captain Jack Harkness (The Dr. Who version -- he was cheerier)
Faith (Mirror's Edge)
and of course, The Baroness (80s comic book/cartoon version)

I would have put Zoe from Firefly, but you know, married woman and all. And I couldn't remember how old River Tam was supposed to be, so I didn't want to be creepy. Or creepier.

Ahh! No room for Lord Akeldama from the Parasol Protectorate!

message 24: by Mell (new)

Mell (melldresden) | 24 comments I like the idea of fictional top 5 so have decided to geek it up and share with the world, also I have great taste(she said with a wry grin and not with the hyperbolic laugh of a megalomaniac… or did she?)

Susan Ivanova from Babylon 5

Melisande Shahrizai from Kushiel’s dart by Jacqueline carey

Captain Janeway for some reason, possibly because she was a sultana short of a totally off her nut cake

Chiana from Farscape

Rogue from the original X men cartoons

Very exciting I know!! I would have added Xena like the little stereotype I am but she would snap me like a twig even in fictional land.

message 25: by Robert (new)

Robert Stubbs | 15 comments Lisa wrote: "I don't have any from books. I need to read more smut!

Alistair - Dragon Age
Coach Taylor - Friday Night Lights
Spike - Buffy/Angel
Joan Holloway - Mad Men

And as much as I hate to admit it...

My mind went blank on book characters and literally had 23 comic book characters pop in my head

message 26: by Joanna (new)

Joanna Dominick (joeyperson) | 2 comments Okay, so.. here's my Fictional Five. It was SO hard to pick! There are just so many things I love! So these are in no particular order(as I added and Deleted and Readded people SO many times.)

Jericho Barrons (Fever Series)
Adam Hauptman (Mercedes Thompson Series)
Willow Rosenberg (BtVS)
Gambit (X-Men)
Johnny (Guilty Gear)

message 27: by Lia (new)

message 28: by Laura (last edited Feb 28, 2012 02:54PM) (new)

Laura (lawprice) | 6 comments This was so difficult to choose, I have so many, I know I will have missed some hotties out.

1. Eric Northman - Sookie Stackhouse Novels
2. Alcide Herveaux - Sookie Stackhouse Novels
3. Seeley Booth - Bones
4. Hannibal King - Blade Trinity (his character was rubbish, but he was hot) :P
5. Dean Winchester - Supernatural

@Kelley I know what you mean about Conner Temple from Primeval, he's very cute. :)

message 29: by Sharon (new)

Sharon | 18 comments Gambit- Xmen
Alistair- Dragon Age
Capt Picard- Star Trek
Khal Drogo- A Game of Thrones
Tuxedo Mask- Sailor Moon

I actually had a discussion with my roommate when I was playing DA because I kept talking about Ali. She thought I was weird for liking a video game character. I countered with her liking Mr Darcy and she said he was a real person. I was confused because he is still a fictional character. I decided to let it be because my roommate doesn't play video games and was obviously lacking some logic at the time lol.

Now that I have rambled, I LOVE that there are comic book, video game and book characters in these lists!

Tuxedo Mask- Sailor Moon

YES! He's on my extended, with no end, list! I'm so glad you put him on here because I had a moment where I was starring at my 5 thinking "But where can I put Tuxedo Mask!?"

message 31: by Alyssa (last edited Feb 28, 2012 02:33PM) (new)

Alyssa (vixie1600) | 19 comments This is a hard list to narrow down to just five. I think I changed it about ten times.

1. Picard-Star Trek
2. Indiana Jones or really any Harrison Ford character. I think I just have a thing for Harrison Ford.
3. Valek-Poison Series by Maria V. Snyder
4. Data-Star Trek (yes really)
5. Kartik-Gemma Doyle series by Libba Bray

message 32: by Anna (new)

Anna | 42 comments In no particular order:

- Eric Northman - True Blood
- Mr. Darcy - Colin Firth's version
- Alcide - another True Blood, but TV only (the book character is too conceited)
- Lord Maccon - The Parasol Protectorate
- Peter Bishop - Fringe

message 33: by Mell (new)

Mell (melldresden) | 24 comments Lais wrote: Nope; you have to add Xena. It's obligatory, or haven't you checked your rule book lately. You KNOW you wanted to! lol

Huh, i did not know there was a rule book out there for fictional five. i am having a mild existential crisis do I really have free will or am I simply following a preordained Xenite destiny to drool over fictional characters programed into me from a mildly younger age by subliminal gaessages?

message 34: by Linda (new)

Linda (poohbear) | 4 comments Jamie - Outlander series
Josh - Being Human
Henry - Sanctuary (apparently I have a thing for Werewolves)
Dyson - Lost Girl (wolf again)
Wash - Firefly

message 35: by Karo (new)

Karo | 38 comments These lists are so interesting to read! I thought some more about mine and am sort of horrified at how they're all basically different iterations of the same character: jerky alpha male who is moved by his love of a woman to reveal his hitherto unknown soft nougaty center via some selfless act.

Well, except for Alcide. If I'm honest with myself, he's mostly on the list because of Joe Manganiello's decidedly non-nougaty exterior.

Jean ~ Kindle Queen (jkat9) Lais wrote: "Now I am having a mildly existential crisis; are you sure there's no rule book? *sigh* Things are always so much easier with a rule book.

I loved Xena: Warrior Princess. It's one of my favorite shows. For some reason, it doesn't have as much street cred as say Buffy The Vampire Slayer. Still an awesome show though.

message 37: by Leesa (new)

Leesa (leesalogic) Malcolm Reynolds, Firefly
Eric Northman, True Blood
Charles & Samuel, Alpha & Omega/Mercedes Thompson series
Colin Firth's Mr. Darcy
John Crichton, Farscape

I'm becoming a big fan of Dyson from Lost Girl.

I have to admit it, Xena and her sidekick Gabrielle would totally be on my extended list. They were my first girl-crushes.

message 39: by Mell (new)

Mell (melldresden) | 24 comments It is chuckletastic and they are drool worthy. I apologise for having an existential crisis that may have inadvertently caused a minor flu like existential crisis.
minor note no existential crisisisisis??? were harmed in the making of this comment, sadly the spelling and grammer died a horribly painful death at the hand of isis's

2. Stands With a Fist - Dances With Wolves.
3. Sydney Bristow - Alias.
4. Princess Tamina - Prince of Persia:The Sands of Time.
5. Gandalf (since none of my other four choices have beards... and beards are the new cleavage).

message 43: by Alyssa (new)

Alyssa (vixie1600) | 19 comments So I was pondering this some more. I think I have a thing for Star Trek characters. This might actually be a therapist worthy discussion if I had a therapist.
