K | 5 comments Hello hello,

I am looking for the title of a probably Australian book, aimed at about 8 year olds up from memory.

Its about a boy (I believe) who is taken into a big tree, possibly a Morton Bay Fig, which might be in a nearby park. I remember it as a calm read, and I would like to use it in the classroom.

Its probably a late 1980s early 1990s book, or at least that when I would have read it.

Miette I think the books could be 'Riddle of the Trumpalar' and 'The challenge of the Trumpalar' by Judy Bernard-Waite. I've seen them offered recently by Scholastic Book Club which sells books through primary schools and is based in Gosford.

I've added both books to the database with all available information. "Riddle" looks to have been written in 1981, prices range from $8 - $11.50.
