Do you remember that thread "if our boys were a movie"?

Well, I've been approached by a screen writer involved with making indie movies. Nothing but first contact really but I can't help but share how excited the idea makes me!

I think a mainstream Hollywood production would make a wreck of things trying to pacify everyone, but a small time film company, even one with a limited budget would be more likely to stay true to the vision.

The writer who contacted me is very excited about the series and mentioned some of the very things that make the boys so special to all of us. The love, integrity and their commitment to one another.

So what do you think? Our Boys on the big screen...or even the TV screen for real...

Bubbles Hunty Honest & Direct Opinions (vapidbubbles) Diane that sounds awesome. So exciting. Most gay movies are independent with almost no budget.

Tina Diane, that is so great. I hope it pans out for you (and us!).

I'm hopeful. I haven't even contacted Silver to even see if it's possible under the terms of my contact. It's one of those things that just the offer is amazing!

Tina It's like the Oscars. It's an honor to be nominated, right? But the statue is even better!

Deeze | 37 comments WOW Diane, Thats just wonderful news. Fingers and toes crossed it all plays out.

Nichole (DirrtyH) (dirtyh) That would be awesome! Although if it did pan out, hopefully they would do a good job with it. A lot of indie gay movies have really bad acting and terrible production and are almost unwatchable. There are a few gems though - hopefully yours would be one!

Yeah, you never can tell about quality. but that's true these days even in the big studios. Sometimes I think people just can't act any more *sigh*

Bubbles Hunty Honest & Direct Opinions (vapidbubbles) Watch "vampire boys" it's on Netflix instant. It's the worst acting ever. All they emotional lines are said so flatly you can't help but laugh

I watched Vampire boys, it was like a porn movie with the porn bits cut out LMAO.

However I've also seen some really excellent Indie movies so hope is not all lost ;)

Thank you Vlad. I'll put you in charge of who plays Clark :)

Bubbles Hunty Honest & Direct Opinions (vapidbubbles) "latter days" was really good. One of my favorites. Also Hedwig and the angry inch is amazing

"come undone" was good but it's French so not sure how the acting was

Latter Days is also a favorite of mine. I've watched quite a few but I'm awful with things like titles and names. One thing is for sure it'll be interesting to see where this goes.

Bridget Agnello (continuitysupervsr) | 31 comments You guys may laugh me off the page for this suggestion, but I can envision Zac Efron (with darker hair) or Liam Helmsworth as Jared. Zac has completely buffed up and is totally ripped now--except for height he's believable in the physical sense as Jared, especially with those beautiful baby blue eyes he has. Liam was just here in Detroit, Michigan in June filming an indie called "AWOL"; he's 6'2"-6'3" tall, has broad shoulders, narrow hips, great tush, beautiful face and even his muscles have muscles. Total hotness!

Liam actually might be able to pull it off. The thing about Zac isn't his questionable professional past lol, it's his eyes they bug me. Recently I've seen some pictures of him with a new haircut where he looks much better and very grown up :)

According to the onion.com his freaky evolution is from disneys genetic manipulation. If I had time I'd find a link it's pretty but can't now
