Sarah What subjects would you like to debate? I mean things in real life, important affairs and things serious which people have different opinions on.

MOVED - CHECK BIO (izzylightfleur) Hmmm, what about what should be taught at school? Or Racism? Those are good debate discussions...

sexism? (haha ally let's get braven in on that one... XD)

message 4: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Good ideas guys :)

MOVED - CHECK BIO (izzylightfleur) Thanks!

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

Maybe. But Gay Marriage can lead into a lot of disagreements because everyone is on different sides of the whole thing and has completely different beliefs.

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Don't want it to get out of control though...

message 8: by Sarah (new)

Sarah The rules are quite obvious - respect others views and if you disagree, say your point but don't go mad about it. And no one should be mean to each other outside the debate discussion on other topics or keep debating about something outside of the debate discussion.

UGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHH. Don't get me started on HIM.

MOVED - CHECK BIO (izzylightfleur) Hey, what about Global Warming? It's been a problem for a while, it would be a good debate

message 29: by Jeremy (new)

Jeremy Loo (BohemianInkslinger) | 34 comments Do you think school curriculum or the social atmosphere contributed to your anti discriminatory nature?

NOTE: I am not taking credit for the debate idea above. It is Robert's idea. I am simply interested in having this debate but no one seems to be starting it.

This House Believes That A Group of Countries Should Unilaterally Invade Syria With or Without the Consent of the United Nations and its Security Council.

NOTE: The above motion is a little heavy, but if anyone is interested... Just in case the above one is rejected (most likely will be), here's another one:

This House Believes That Religion Should Reserve the Right to Hold Authors of Books Containing Conspiracy Theories Guilty of Defamation When Negative Effects on the Perception of Said Religions can be proven.

The above motion means that any religion can sue an author, e.g. Dan Brown, for creating/publicizing a conspiracy theory for defamation, assuming that the book is proven to make people have a bad perception about the religion in question. Confusing, but thought-provoking.

message 30: by Sarah (new)

Sarah I think it'd be a good idea to start all those debates :)

Hmmmmmmm . . . That's interesting. It isn't really a debate though . . . Unless you mean to debate how many a grown person would be able to take on?

message 35: by DaJuan Hodge (new)

DaJuan Hodge AMERICANFRIEND (dhamericanfriend) | 1 comments when does or how does it begin?

message 36: by [deleted user] (new)

How about nationality? Like, people with no nationality, nations who's cultures are shunned, etc. etc.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

Or maybe we can discuss like, academic results. For example, do you think the school-age should be lowered/made higher, should they do something about SATs, etc. etc.

message 38: by Maria (new)

Maria | 2 comments I'd say things like gay rights because I've got some pretty strong opinions about that...
But i'm afraid of where that would go XD
