Tamahome | 6189 comments Trailer looks good. Either you have to bittorrent it or donate to stream it... L5 = Lagrange point?

(be sure your bittorrent client supports utp to avoid congestion :) )

Tamahome | 6189 comments I guess not too many ppl are getting it. I thought the special effects were the highlight. It still blows away anything Syfy. I have a question about gravity for anyone that's seen it.

Warren | 1556 comments Interesting. Thanks for that link.
The movies title indirectly relates to the goal of the old L5 society to establish a space colony.(At the L5 point). That group merged with the National Space Institute in1987. The movie is a crowd-funded, independent miniseries project that began on Kickstarter.com. You can find details online.
The other relationship has to do with the movies plot. Around 1980 there was a treaty proposed to carve up ownership of the moon. The L5 society publicly campaign helped block that treaty in the US Senate. In the movie countries on Earth want to claim ownership of a space colony. The trails doesn't seem to match the description. Not that the trailers always match the plot.

Warren | 1556 comments Here's an article about artificial gravity for space habitation.
Shortly after the Prof said "good morning class" I had to struggle
to keep up.
