Nice book stores

I'm partial to musty old book stores with hard to find used paperbacks. That doesn't prevent me from appreciating some of the nicer places.

Some of these are awesome. Noticeable that they tend to be in non-English speaking countries, I wonder if that's relevant?

I've actually visited four of these stores.. I didn't even know about this list. :) The one in Paris is really great! (I'm standing in front of this store in my profile picture)

It isn't a book store, but I think the library here at Akita International University where I'm currently studying is beautiful.

I really loved the one with the books on the ceiling. Like being totally surrounded by books. Some of the architecture on those are beautiful. But I prefer the smaller closed in stores.

The bookstore in Paris looks fantastic. I must visit there some day!

The most unique bookstore I've been to was Libreria Puro Verso in Montevideo, Uruguay. It has a large, lovely stained glass window and beautiful architecture.
