Tarsiers | 41 comments I had to right a Shakespearean Sonnet for class.
IT WAS HARD!!! Any who, it isn't too good, because it had a REALLY STRICT STRUCTURE...

Tarsiers | 41 comments If you want to write a Shakespearean Sonnet, here's how, or at least they way I had to do it:
A Shakespearean sonnet consists of 3 quatrains (sets of four lines) and a final rhyming couplet.
Content:
Quatrain 1: presents an idea or a question
Quatrain 2: explores the idea
Quatrain 3: explores the idea further
Couplet: reaches a conclusion. Generally the couplet is very important … sometimes it changes the mood of the poem completely!
Needs:
Iambic pentameter: In each new line, you need to begin with an unstressed syllable, and then the very next syllable is stressed. You also need five sets of these per line, including the couplet at the end. Two syllables is one set, meaning: unstressed syllable plus stressed syllable equals one set. Remember, five sets per line.
14 lines in all
Correct rhyme scheme: AB, AB, CD,CD, EF, EF. Then, GG, because the last two couplets rhyme.
Any questions? It’s hard.
Fun Fact: Shakespeare has written over one-hundred fifty of these!
Feel free to ask me if you have questions.

Oh my gosh, I love it Tarsiers! I don't know what you meant when you said it wasn't good.. I love how you described the chocolate, especially. You know how I am, too: I absolutely love chocolate. ;)
