Prayer and Praise prior to 2010.

Please continue praying for all the flood waters here in WI. For example, our HUGE lake is 4 feet above normal and USUALLY the lake comprises 6,542 acres and the maximum depth is 7 feet (with 21% less than 3 feet deep.) This extra water has actually increased our lake size by 50%!!! On average the lake contains 1,139,878,080 cu ft. With this flooding there is 1,143,878,080 extra water on top of the already normal amount!!!! Sorry, I tried to convert it to miles, but my mind is boggled already:) and this is not mentioning the amount of influx from the above river and the flooding occurring down stream from the dam. There are so many roads closed it is almost impossible to get from Madison to Milwaukee. You have to drive all the way down to Beloit, WI... an extra 140 miles OUT OF YOUR WAY!!!!! And if you live in the little towns in between it is impossible to find your way out! too many lakes, dams, creeks, and rivers. please continue to pray for all of them.
I have one more prayer request. I know of a lady who had 2 miscarriages in the last 2 years and is expecting again, near my due date. PLEASE keep her and her unborn baby in your thoughts and prayers. They were really scared to try for another one. I am excited for them, and continue to pray daily for this one's safety.
God works wonders!
My great uncle died several months ago. It has made my grandfather even weaker, but we are just grateful for the time that we do have with him. He is now 90 (Feby 14th).
We are in the process of buying a house, we close on the 12th. I'm really praying hard for everything to go well! I will have a great room for a library and will be able to get back my books that have been in boxes for the last two years. Plus an area to quilt that will be on the main level of the second floor and will not suffer from the heat problems as does this current rental bonus room over the garage
We also found a great church home, which is wonderful, b/c hubby and I haven't really found "home" since we started dating. Just been visiting a little everywhere, but now we have found a great church near our new house at that! We're also trying to get pregnant, so pray for that too...
For Amy: setting in completely in her new home, that the cat doesn't kill the neighbor cat, and of course baby Goomba. :)

Where are you attending church?
Amy, I don't "know" you but I hope all will go well with the pregnancy and that you are settling well in your new home!
The latest is Nov. 4th for a closing date. Hopefully it will stay that way!
We are attending Abiding Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Right now we are meeting in the Childcare Experience School in Porterdale. We are breaking ground with a huge celebration (that everyone is invited to) on October 19th. I do not know how long it will take for the building to be built, but it is very exciting.

I will continue to pray for a healthy delivery. Enjoy your sleep (what little you may be getting now!) because it won't happen after the little blessing arrives!! Babies are great, but tons of work!! I love mine to death and wouldn't trade them for the world!!!

Also is a praise.
My friend's cousin made it through surgery and is recovering nicely
Ok. Yesterday we did the closing on the house with one glitch. The seller's bank has not signed off yet. They were suppose to. Now, one day later. They still haven't. So, we own the house (utilities, etc taxes and more) are our responsibility, but we cannot take possession until they sign off. I'm so frustrated. This entire situation has been a ridiculous nightmare.
So with all the drama last year about buying our house - we finally got it in November (see previously posts above)... now my DH as well as 98 co workers has been laid off in a department merge. So now, we may move... depending on where he gets a new job. Oh, and did I mention I am 7 months pregnant??
Thanks Kate! Today he has an interview and it would still involve moving, but it is very close to both our parents, so it would be the best so far it if could go through. What we know at this time is that he is one of four narrowed down finalists for the position.

I agree with Kate! I will pray that things will work out well for you & your husband, Margaret!

Ok. So from the interview on Monday he has already found out he is the second choice and they are pursuing the other guy. They said they might deem to make a position for him, but that could take a year or more...
He is going to look and interview at some other places in GA, but none of which are jobs that he is crazy about and he said they would more be something to preoccupy his time until something better came along.
There are two other jobs that he is seriously considering. First off know that we have both lived in GA our entire lives. Our parents are both here. My brother and his family are here (expecting a child in December). The next job, which he has a second scheduled phone interview for this week is in Colorado Springs, CO and the other he is flying to PA for next Monday.

I got the call this morning. I'm officially being diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. I spent the morning at the pharmacy, and have a nutritionist appointment on Tuesday.

Kate, it's good to know that your friend had a safe delivery with her baby! Margaret, you should be okay, too! *hugs*
Thanks girlies. It's amazing how two months ago, my DH and I were eating out and I just started giggling. He asked me what was up and I just smiled and told him that I was perfectly happy and could not explain it. This for me was a big deal because I have suffered from depression off and on for years. Then spent another few years finding ways to deal (delving into fiction is one of them...) then I spent two years trying and failing to get pregnant, and all of the sudden there I was perfectly happy and pregnant to boot. It is definitely an attack on my spiritual well being I'm sure. Satan does not like me to be so happy, I'd assume. So first Daniel losing his job, and then our future being thrown into the unknown and now the GD. What's funny is that I'm still happy. I'm not over worried. For me, that's just bizarre. But there is too much good and too much time for more good for me to worry about silly badness.

I'm praying for Amy as she travels to come see me! Or rather for her beach vacation as she will stop by to see me on her way home. *grin*
Thanks for the prayers!
Thanks for the prayers!
Vague update: Cannot keep BG levels in check by diet, so I will have to start taking meds as of tonight and then daily 2x. I am also assigned to start seeing the Perinatal Specialists next week (again like at the beginning of the pregnancy, but this time for GDM). June 22nd is my husband's last day of work and we have yet to lock in a new job... Baby is due August 15th, but could come as early as July 18th because of the GDM.
Woohoo!
Woohoo!

Baby Update: I have gestational diabetes, and went to see the specialist today. He told us that it is only borderline, better safe than sorry monitoring, and definitely no need for insulin at where we currently are, and doubts I will need any at all. Just to watch my diet and life in the future to avoid getting Type 2 diabetes later in life. Right now, baby girl is 4 lbs 4 oz, and at this rate she'll be about 8 lbs at birth by assumption. Healthy, heart pumping, lungs working, kidneys and stomach all look good. So I'm happy! Originally they said we would see the maternal fetal specialist every week until birth, he said he'll see us in 6 weeks. So that's good! (Plus there would be a copay each time!!) I get to see my regular CNMidwife next Thursday and then every two weeks for her until then end.

I have given this issue to God and placed it in His hands. I have even walked away from it, but, occasionally remember it in prayer. I would also like to for others to pray for the same thing, if yall dont mind.
Its so nice to know that I can go to other Christians and know that I am loved and remembered.
With love to all,
Tiffany

God will never put anything more on you than God can handle...Give it to God and let him take care of it for you!
With all of my love to you all,
Tiffany

I'm so happy for you Tiffany! Now if only mine could get a job.... we have been jobless since June 22nd, and baby comes in about 20 some odd days. We'll see what happens next!

I havent been on for a while b/c my mother had been recently diagnosed with a brain aneurysm and Joes aunt had a severe stroke. It all happened like back to back. Mamma had to have surgery and she is doing well. She occasionally has headaches and Joes aunt is in a nursing home awaiting therapy. Its been rough but God knows what he is doing!
I love you guys!

Thank you so much for the prayers! I will pray for you & your family. I hope all will go well. Yes, God knows what he is doing. :-) Let us know how things are going!

Jennifer, I will keep you in my prayers. As a Christian teacher who loves children, I can hardly imagine how heartbroken you are for those little ones. I know God will provide the perfect job for you!

Hi all. I'm doing much better and actually read a bit yesterday. :) Charlotte is well, she was better than I, but now we're working on a bit of jaundice. Waiting on the test results from today to hopefully get out of the horribly confining bilibed. Imagine having a baby you cannot hold. Ugh.

I just started job hunting since Friday was my last day at work. I may be called in for an interview within the next two weeks at another daycare. They were glad I had a resume. I'll be looking all week before family vacation time. So, hopefully I will have one ready when I come back.

Thanks for the prayers, they are greatly appreciated.

Margaret, it's great that you're feeling better & can get in some reading time. :-) It's wonderful news that your baby's health is improving. I will still pray for Charlotte, you, and your husband!
