Okay...this one's pretty broad...what do you think of the Capitol? Citizens? Leaders? The buildings?

I think that all of the technology was pretty cool...I was jealous of the hair detangler! :)

It's almost IMPOSSIBLE for me to get my hair to look presentable, because it's so thick and curly...usually, it's just in a ponytail. So, when Katniss said something to the effect of, "My hair fell around my shoulders in a silky (and perfect) sheet," I got super jealous.

The people were complete idiots...it's no wonder Pres. Snow had complete control and made them believe the Games were a "good thing."

I'm not taking up for the Capitol residents in any way, but I think that part of the reason they were so enthusiastic about the Games is simply because they were raised to think that. Sure, the first residents had sick minds thinking it was fun, but after a couple of generations, it's just a tradition I guess you could say.

Yes, it's kind of like certain things on society today, other forms of reality TV today

Yeah. This is sort of off topic, but in all honesty, I HATE reality TV.

Me too...I love the older TV shows (Little House on the Prairie, The Waltons, Full House, The Brady Bunch, etc.)!

Kate9 | 285 comments I LOVE LITTLE HOUSE! Anyway that's completely random;

I completely agree with that; the Capitol people weren't educated enough to know that it was wrong. That's really sad.

I don't think they were completely "bad" people. They just didn't quite know how barbaric it was, and, when we read the books, we're like, "how do they enjoy that???" But, in reality, they were taught to be enthusiastic, as were their parents. And it's VERY sad. The sadistic ones were the first Capitol residents. They knew exactly what was going on.

Kate9 | 285 comments Exactly.

Nicole (turwaithielgreenleaf) | 10 comments I think that the Capitol is in the dark about the feelings of the Games in the districts. I have this feeling that Snow wanted to hide the districts view from the Capitol to make Snow more in control of them, as they known less than Snow.
