Wasn't Planet X the planet hiding behind Jupiter back in the day. It was used in some really bad sci-fi stories until the voyager probes and better scientific tools helped prove it wasn't there. I wonder if this will be the same.
You might be right. It was that or Neptune. They used Planet X to explain why their calculations were off. Sort of a astronomical Finagle's Constant.In this case I still don't understand how you hide a giant planet behind Pluto.

I don't know anything about giant planets out there but there is some odd stuff out on the rim. Radiolab did a podcast recently that had a section on the voyager craft and the weirdness they are up to now. Here's the section of the episode. http://www.radiolab.org/2012/feb/20/e...

I thought that segment was far and away the weakest part of it.
The Egyptians had another, larger planet in our solar system as well. If someone points that out it's going to be the damned Mayans all over again...

Considering that the hypothetical Oort cloud is nearly 1 light year from the Sun, I figure there could be anything out beyond Pluto. For sure there has to be a Starbucks. :P
