Abenaki poet Carol Bachofner has published another volume--this one with the irrepressible Joseph and Jesse Bruchac's Bowman Books--and it might be her best yet.

Mi'kmaq poet Alice Azure just posted a lovely review of it on her blog:

You can order Carol's book from Bowman Books, and check out their own "Native New England" titles:

Alice Azure | 13 comments I wonder if we're on to something here, Wabanaki people reviewing each other's work. Too insulated? Maybe. But to do so doesn't mean I'm ignoring other writers. My challenge is twofold: to promote Wabanaki writers, and to teach myself how to be a credible the style of Molly Peacock's wonderful book, HOW TO READ A POEM. Wonderful book, Carol. Now I want to hear you read those poems!
