Who knew President James Garfield was such an interesting, endearing man and so ill-served by the doctors of his day. And who knew Alexander Graham Bell invented an "x-ray" device just for the President, as well as a precursor to the iron lung. Great narrative read, providing fascinating glimpse into the socio-political context of Garfield's presidency and death at the hands of his demented assassin
