Inati (inatithetimelord) | 86 comments ((yup))

Kyoko boarded the ship, pleased to see that it was ready to go, the wind rippling through the sails. "SET SAIL AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!" she called as loud as she could. She hoped the Captain would be feeling better soon.

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay Avery yawned, both from exhaustion and boredom. Getting to her feet she tied her hair back with a leather cord and stretched her back for a moment, listening to it crack before going about her duties of helping to get the ship ready to sail, doing only what she had to and nothing more or less. One thought rang clear on her mind, I really should get a hat so as not to get any more freckles., it was a vain thought and she cursed herself for it but yet she could not ignore the truth to it.

Inati (inatithetimelord) | 86 comments Kyoko grinned as she helped the crew. She loved ships in general, even the dull parts of the job.

message 12: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (imweirdgetusedtoit) Alanna rushed around, doing her job in the rigging. She loved being up high, and being up tangled in the ropes with the wind blowing in her hair made her feel like she was on top of the world.

message 13: by Inati (last edited Feb 23, 2012 03:50PM) (new)

Inati (inatithetimelord) | 86 comments Kyoko raised the anchor along with a few other crew members. Then she shimmied up the mast with Alanna to fix the sails, coming down when done. They were under way. The ship sailed away from port with Kyoko at the helm.

message 14: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (imweirdgetusedtoit) Alanna glanced at Kyoko as she finished fixing the sails, then resumed her lookout spot in the crow's nest, keeping an eye out for any passing ships, friendly or unfriendly. But mostly unfriendly.

message 15: by Inati (new)

Inati (inatithetimelord) | 86 comments Kyoko called up to Alanna, "What do you think the best course would be?" since Alanna was so high, she'd be better able to see ships and storms.

message 16: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (imweirdgetusedtoit) Alanna looked out at the ocean. It was all pretty calm, a few rough patches here and there, but clear as can be. "Depending on the course you want to take, I think it'd be best to continue the path we're on." She called back.

message 17: by Inati (new)

Inati (inatithetimelord) | 86 comments Kyoko nodded, keeping the ship steady. "Thank you!" she called up.

message 18: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (imweirdgetusedtoit) Alanna nodded, and went back to watching the ocean. She loved the feel of the sea breeze on her face, whiping her red hair around her, and she liked the chance to be alone, away from people who were scared of her and her eyes, but thankfully she noticed that the crew didn't seem to care about her strange eyes, which made her feel much more welcome then she'd ever felt before.

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay Avery, finished with her task sat down on a barrel, and propped her feet up on an overturned mop bucket. Taking a harmonica out of her boot she started to play a sad song, usually a song reserved only for prisons but to her this everlasting boredom was a prison. To Avery the only good time was one in which your life was hanging on the line.

message 20: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (imweirdgetusedtoit) Alanna heard a tune from below. She looked down and saw Avery playing the harmonica. She smiled to herself, listening to the song. It was sad, but eerily beautiful.

message 21: by Essence (new)

Essence Caprano *NERDS TO THE RESCUE!* Danielle felt herself relax as the ship set sail. Sitting down, she breathed out and looked out into the sea, her messy side braid flying in the wind. "The sea is so beautiful." Danielle thought happily. "I could just stay here and look at it forever." Danielle lost her train of thought as she heard a crew mate start to play the harmonica. It was lovely and Danielle allowed a small, mysterious smile slip onto her lips.

message 22: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (imweirdgetusedtoit) Alanna kept glancing down at the deck, watching the crew go about its buisness. It seemed so machine-like, in a way. Everyone had their jobs, and they did them with precision, so everything ran like a well-oiled machine.

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay Avery stopped her music and sighed, bored out of her mind she shoved the harmonica back into her boot and took out her pistol. Using a small bit of cloth she began to wipe at it, cleaning it as she whistled under her breath. Always needing some sort of sound in order to think straight.

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

Lux smiled as she gazed off into the view singing softly under her breath as she wrote in her jounral, writing an exquisite poem. "Tis' the beauty of the sun capture the favor of all, it showers the world with its divine self..." she murmured, gazing up the sun, inspired.

message 25: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (imweirdgetusedtoit) ♥Izzy (aka Iza-chan)♥ wrote: " Kyoko squinted ahead. "Alanna, is that a squall, or are my eyes going bad?" she asked, a trifle nervous."

Alanna turned and looked in the direction that Kyoko was motioning to. Her eyes widened. "Battle straight ahead!" She called down to Kyoko. "At least ten ships, maybe more!"

message 26: by Inati (new)

Inati (inatithetimelord) | 86 comments Kyoko cursed. "Alanna! Which way to best avoid it?! There's not enough of us! We'll be crushed!"

Michael looked up from his duties, worried.

message 27: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (imweirdgetusedtoit) Alanna studied the battle. It was still a ways off, and it looked like it was heading east... "West! Way left, and we might be able to avoid it!" She called down.

message 28: by Inati (last edited Feb 24, 2012 07:24PM) (new)

Inati (inatithetimelord) | 86 comments Kyoko turned the ship in an arc and the timbers groaned as it turned faster than it was used to. She couldn't believe their bad luck.

message 29: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (imweirdgetusedtoit) Alanna was thrown to the side of the crow's nest, and she gripped the wood tightly as the mast swung out over the ocean. The ship wasn't supposed to turn like this, and she felt like she was going to be thrown out into the water. She gripped the wood, her knuckles turning white, and prayed the ship righted itself out quickly.

message 30: by Inati (new)

Inati (inatithetimelord) | 86 comments Kyoko let go of the tiller, and it spun as the ship righted. She breathed a sigh of relief, and grabbed the oaken wheel again. "You alright?" she called up to Alanna. They were now headed away from the impending armada of ships.

message 31: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (imweirdgetusedtoit) Alanna was a little shaken, but she took a deep breath and nodded, but then remembered she was high up and they couldn't see her very well. "Yep, everything's fine up here." She called down.

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay Avery swore and rubbed her backside as she stood, the sharp turn having forced her off the barrel. Shaking her head she frowned, "Boring. Cant we at least fight one shil?" she muttered to herself.

message 33: by Inati (new)

Inati (inatithetimelord) | 86 comments Kyoko heard Avery and scowled. "You want to fight ten to one?! are you sane?!"

message 34: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (imweirdgetusedtoit) "Probably not." Alanna said quietly to herself. Hardly any one was on these ships. She turned her gaze back to the battle that they were sailing away from now, making sure they were staying far enough away.

message 35: by Inati (new)

Inati (inatithetimelord) | 86 comments Kyoko, still frowning, turned back to the tiller.

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay Avery flashed a wicked grin at Kyoko, "No, I'm highly insane." she then shrugged, "But I'm a damn good pirate so what does it matter of my sanity. I only bring risk to myself, never to others." she sat back down on her barrel then, having already claimed it as hers.

message 37: by [deleted user] (new)

Lux yelped as her journal was almost thrown into the water, quickly catching it, she put her quill and journal away into her bag and stood, narrowing her eyes and shook her head. "We mustn't bring unnecessary action into our lives if we are able to avoid it. We are here to survive the probably that are thrown at us, not go and find them." with a sigh, she gazed out into the open sea, making sure she still had our weapons.

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay "What are you talking about Lux? We're bloody pirates! Cut-throats! We battle ships and steal and violate villages! We kill with no mercy and purposefully go looking for treasure! Purposely! How can you say we just sit around waiting for probabilities? And our goal is to survive the issues thrown at us? We go looking for treasure!" Avery shook her head in disbelief, what kind of landlovers ship did I get on?

message 39: by [deleted user] (new)

"Yes, we do, and we should be cutthroat to our enemies but remember, Avery, be careful about the consequences" Lux stated wisely, taking out her long dagger and fiddled around with it. She was a great fighter, known by all around, yet she couldn't help but want and desire for peace since she never had received that as a child. "We just need to be careful whenever we attack and search, that's all."

( ˘ ³˘)♥ Jay Avery shook her head and scoffed, she gave up talking to Lix, after all Lux fancied herself a diplomatic peacemaker and her stupid journal writing annoyed the frizz out of Avery, having to see her buy ink just to waste it on idle writings that only Lux read. To Avery it was pointless, instead she just took out her harmonica once more and began to play on it, a fast paced song to get rid of her anger.

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

Lux sighed and rolled her eyes and jumped onto the upper deck to get a better view of the ocean, watching some dolphins swim up against the ship. Grunting, she resisted the urge to take out her journal, ignoring the temptation. Shaking her head, she walked away from the edge of the ship, looking for some work to do.

message 42: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (imweirdgetusedtoit) Alanna listened to their argument, keeping her eye trained on the battle, making sure they were avoiding it completely. She leaned on the side of the crow's nest, loving the feeling of the wind whipping through her hair, and the sun on her face. She loved the feeling it gave her, making her feel light as a feather, and she liked the peace of being up high, watching everyone else.

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

Lux sighed as she sat on a barrel, slightly humming as she watched the dolphins again, seeing how today may be a lazy day.

message 44: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (imweirdgetusedtoit) Alanna amused herself by singing quietly to herself, not having anything else to do. She kept at her post, but let her soft, gentle voice carry off in the breeze.

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

Grunting, Lux finally gt out her journal and began to write short stories, proceeding to hum, to shy to even singing actually.

message 46: by Inati (new)

Inati (inatithetimelord) | 86 comments Kyoko looked forward, seeing a light scattering of rain clouds ahead.

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

Glancing about, Lux put her journal away and looked to Kyoko and followed her gaze to the rain clouds. "Great..." she sighed as she quickly sprinted her way to the sails, ready to pull if it ever grew into a big storm. People would call her paranoid, she'd call herself careful.

message 48: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (imweirdgetusedtoit) Alanna saw them as well, and she knew they were going to get wet, but it didn't bother her. She was accustomed to being wet and uncomfortable, after all, she'd grown up half her life in the streets, where you were never dry.

message 49: by Inati (new)

Inati (inatithetimelord) | 86 comments Kyoko smiled to see the crew already preparing for the small storm.

message 50: by [deleted user] (new)

Holding onto the rope carefully, Lux sighed as she fixed her bag that hung over her shoulder. Glancing up, she could see lightning only a mile away. Sighing, she looked up at the sails, making sure everything was put well together. Narrowing her eyes, her hair moved in the strong wind that grew forcefully, feeling slightly chilly at the moment, yet let it slide. There was no time for complaining or wimping out. She was there to stay strong as the fighter she was.
