I dunno what this is about really...

Beginning to Fly

making a bond
taking a hand
making it strong
taking a stand

sometimes easy
sometimes hard
sometimes meat
sometimes lard

this is how it starts
this is how it goes
this is how it moves
this is how it flows

it's everything
but nothing
it's anyone
but no one

this is working out
and is getting by
it's a final stand
beginning to fly

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

This is the beginning of a Doctor Who/Harry Potter crossover one shot I've been working on at 11:30 PM. Even if you're not familiar with Doctor Who, I'd love feedback. It's Victoire/Eleven.

This story is, I believe, my best work of fanfiction ever.

Drops of Jupiter

tell me, did you fall for a shooting star
one without a permanant scar
and did you miss me when you were looming for
yourself out there

--drops of jupiter ;; train

No Sympathy
For those people WHO I HATE. I dunno if it can be considered a poem... I suppose some might call it a free verse.

Just can't see myself letting go
And I know whose fault it is
Go ahead, just do it to me
Antagonize me, make me a jerk
I really don't care anymore
You took something from me
And you can't give it back
You could at some point,
But you didn't give it back
(That's kind of the point
That's why I'm writing now)
And you should know that
I'm perfectly happy without
You and your sick being
Because now I'm happy
(And if you can guess what,
You're not there, either
That's kind of why I'm happy)
I don't care if you make me
I don't care if this is totally
Just me being a brat
(Kind of like always)
But you went too far, you know
Stepped over the line
(You know this already
And I bet that's why you did it)
But I just don't bleeping care
Not about how this makes you feel
You ruin it, you pay for it
If no one told you that's how things work,
I did just now because it's obvious
Obvious that you should know
You ruined it, now you're paying
And I feel no sympathy

A something. I don't know. I felt like writing. It's a poem, I guess.

looking into eyes,
hands intertwined

seeing into lives,
two intertwined

(what could make them pull apart?)

(you know what could)

burning, glaring eyes
no longer intertwined

hating, horrid lives
no longer intertwined

(who could have seen it coming?)

(you saw it coming)

soft and sorry eyes
wanting intertwined

wishing, pining lives
needing intertwined

(when did this start again?)

(deep down you knew it would)

happy, gazing eyes
now intertwined

lovely, content lives
again intertwined

(who could be happier than them?)

(if they're happy, why does it hurt you so much?)

envious, jealous eyes
hands wishing to be intertwined

a sad, lonely life
wanting to be intertwined

(they're so perfect together, aren't they? nothing can keep them apart)

(that's kind of your problem)

how much would you give to save the world?

(do you just want to be a "hero"?)

how much would you give for another soul?

(do you just want to be a "hero"?)

how much would you give to save an enemy?

(do you just want to be a "hero"?)

how much do you want to be known?

(do you just want to be a "hero"?)

you say you would, but you wouldn't give up much

(you just want to be a "hero")

you say you would, but you wouldn't save them

(you just want to be a "hero")

you say you would, but you'd never save the enemy

(you just want to be a "hero")

how much would it take you to realize there's more to being a hero?

(you just want to be a "hero")

but how much would it take you to know that there's more?

(more than being called "hero")

don't you know that not everyone dreams of fame?

(but you think everyone wants to be "hero")

some die in battle, and they don't think "i will be remembered"

(and that's the real kind of hero)

Looking in a Mirror

someone looking right back at you.

but looking at them, you see.

they're not you.

a clever clone.

not really you.

not even close.

just a look-alike.

they stole your face.

you should be angry.

but you see on that face.

they look sad.

so, so sad.

and you feel bad.

and then you realize this person is you.

"if you just believe..."

but am i

i want to
believe it

with all of
my heart

i wish
i was

and this
this tells
me that
i am

but now
to believe

it seems
so far off

so far

i don't
know if

it's really
the truth

oh, but
i want
it to be

i want
it to be

the truth
so so bad

i want
i just want
i want

A World
I want. Is that so wrong?

i want to live
in a world
where i'm accepted
for who i am
no one tells me
that i'm not right
i'm alway good
always right
always special
always me
and loved
loved, so loved
for being me

i want to live
in a world
where values
still matter
where i can
trust and know
that they're
telling the
real truth
and everyone
loves me
because i can
be honest

i want to live
in a world
where no one
cares about
how you look
where every
single person
is so beautiful
and everyone
is loved so
so much love
and so much
that it counts

i want to live
in a world
where i can
i can be me
and where you
you can be you
and i will
be loved
and you will
be loved
and for once
everyone will
fit in so

i want to live
in a world
where it's not
such a puzzle
everyone knows
knows their place
no one's lost
nobody's corrupt
and everybody
cares about
everybody and
it's easy to be
who you are

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

you're lost, aren't you?

(kind of, it's hard to tell)

isn't it always hard to tell?

(yeah, yeah it is)

do you need help out?

(no, no help)

and are you okay?

(of course, i'm always okay)

are you sure about that?

(i'm perfectly fine)

[but you wish they hadn't walked away]

[but you wish you hadn't pushed them away]

[because you're not okay]

Just seeing him in a 50's pompadour makes my day, because I erupt in giggles. Ah. The cure to anything.

/rose must have made him do his hair like that and oh my goodness i miss rose but she's off with mittens in pete's world and oh my goodness the feels this gives me

€ℒᓰzᗩßℯЋ ツ Oh my goodness...I'm speechless.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

I know, right? That 50's pompadour just makes my day, I mean, you can't look at that without either cracking up, or being absolutely horrified (or both). It's funny, so I look at it when I need to smile.

message 20: by Marlene (new)

Marlene (marlene1001) You just made MY day! And you´re right. My face can't really decide. Horrified? Laughing attack? Oh screw it, I will do both.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

I know right? I mean, I love looking at that lovely face all day, but with that hair, I just can't stop laughing.

€ℒᓰzᗩßℯЋ ツ Seriously! I burst out laughing when I saw them, but at the same time I was like O.o this is torture!

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

I wonder how they told him. Were they like, "Hey David, this episode's in the 50s, so you're going to have a pompadour, okay?"

message 24: by [deleted user] (new)

break, shatter
I don't know.

no one sees
this girl break

(quiet, quiet, quiet)

no one sees
this girl shatter

(alone, alone, alone)

no one sees
this girl cry

(nobody, nobody, nobody)

no one sees
this girl die

(silence, silence, silence)

Adena Wright (adenaw) I like it. It's short, simple and to the point.

(and I can see that you like parentheses)

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

I do like parentheses. A lot.

message 27: by Adena (new)

Adena Wright (adenaw) Haha nice. I either like lots of punctuation, or none at all.

message 28: by [deleted user] (last edited Feb 25, 2012 05:39PM) (new)

Usually in my poetry the only punctuation I use is apostrophes. And commas.

like it's invisible, people move by the old police box
Written for school, we're in the poetry unit. The first thing I thought of. Does my life revolve around Doctor Who? Maybe.

Blue like the painted wood, the bluest blue you’ve ever seen,
Worn and slightly singed like it’s caught on fire, like rage and storm,
Cool to touch like a cold day, blistering wind making snow drifts atop,
Door creaks like it hasn’t been oiled, worn and used, but not in a while,
Paint tastes like chipped, dirty lacquer when licked, to see if tongue will stick,
It smells like something old and vintage, sort of timeless, in some ways,
And it looks like it’s so out-of-date, and in a way it is, to these new people,
Feels smooth but rough like antique wood, chipping paint, old and new,
Like it’s invisible, people move by the old blue police box.

The Bumpy Fact of Living
Ugh. Another simile poem.

Quiet as a whispering conscience,
Blind as a blunt mistake,
Wise as the ticking clock,
High as the most honored honor,
Strong as one’s free will,
Busy as a wanted attention,
Sick as simply being conscious,
Smart as thoughtful silence,
American as the freedom of freedom,
Happy as a flattering complement,
Slow as mourning sets in,
Stubborn as one’s imagination,
Sweet as love as love itself,
Nutty as the bumpy fact of living.

Self-Portrait Poem
Good Lord, I hate these. Makes me sound really egotistical.

Determined worker, aspiring author, opinionated individual, irrational imagination
Who cares about fictional characters and the world of make-believe
Who intends to one day voice her opinion to the world and take a stand
Who wants to be known as the girl who proved herself to the world
Who wants to be respected for being myself and being different
Who fears gas-masked children and the dark and most of all, rejection
Who wants others to understand her motives in life and actions
Who gives her words for something powerful and changing
Who dreams of being accepted by the people around her and the impossible
Who believes in the words of Russell T. Davies, “Never say never ever.”

Not a Lie or a Complete Truth
Not a Masquerade or Someone Else

A fill-in-the-blank for school.

Not a lie or a complete truth.

I give you an opinion.
It is a knife wrapped in sugar coating.
It promises change
like the stunning shatter of your façade.

It will defy you with strength
like a warrior of words.
It will make your perfect mask
just an empty mask, a shell.

I am trying to be me.

Not a masquerade or someone else.

I give you an opinion.
Its harsh content will linger in your mind,
blunt and honest
as we are,
for as long as we are.

Take it.
Its shattering reality will bring you back to life,
if you like.
Its scent will cling to your mind,
cling on to your thoughts.

I haven't written fun poetry in a while... so I thought I'd write this, 'cause the idea had been in my head for a while.

It’s a brand new day
in an ordinary life.

A clean slate.
A new start.

Go through all the choices
before you choose for now.

Your own little cabinet;
it’s full of your masks.
Today which one?

You can be happy or
completely depressed.

You can be easygoing
or downright annoyed.

You can be energetic
or you can be sluggish.

You can be you or you
can be someone else.

So be careful;
choose wisely.

This is your mask
for the day.

So... I've actually started making - GASP - graphics, because I was bored last night, so my brain went, "What the heck?" and I made some. They're Doctor Who... and I don't know how to use GIFs in them, and they're done kind of sloppily on Picnik (because Photoshop is on the desktop, not my mom's laptop), so... they're kind of stupid-looking.
