Historical fiction, romance
Set in Scandinavia (I believe in Norway)
A young Scandinavian girl meets and falls in love with Sami(Lapp) boy. However as she is Christian and he isn’t and they are different nationalities there is no hope for the relationships. She had also younger brother who played some part in novel too. The girl at the end was accused by her people and priests and killed. Girls’ family were made poor as punishment too.
TV series were made after this story.
