Steve | 5 comments I think Auden is one of the best poets for the period between the wars. Here's a favorite of mine, As I Walked Out One Evening, from 1937.

One of Auden's that I love is Musee des Beaux Arts.

Yes...Funeral Blues certainly packs an emotional punch doesn't it.

Another one of his well known ones that is very moving is Lullaby:
