Our guest this episode is Hush listener and Goodreads contributer Melanie Lawrence. Melanie talks about why she likes to participate in book discussion groups in person and online, and she tells us her favorite books to discuss.

Listen here.

What books have you enjoyed at your book discussion groups?

Besides participating in quick virtual discussion on Goodreads, I haven't really participated in a formal discussion group. But I do discuss books with friends and family and some of the books I've recently talked about and enjoyed are:

The Game of Thrones by George R.R Martin

The Help by Kathryn Stockett

Ruby Red by Kerstin Gier

Melanie | 212 comments Just did a book discussion on Cannery Row by John Steinbeck. It is a character driven book and we had a great discussion.
