Colleen (kolleen) | 3 comments Hi! I've been trying to remember the title of a very enjoyable, well-written book that takes place in China. I believe it was written by a journalist and was dedicated to "Colleen." A girl has the rare opportunity to visit Communist China in the 1970s as a student (perhaps studying at a university in Beijing) and then returns to the country decades later with her family to try to track down and find out what happened to a fellow female student she met there in the 70s. The story describes the modernization of the country very well. I read the book in about 2008 and believe it was fairly new then. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
