Thora wrote: HELL YES! Throne of glass is life. The characters, the world and the plot is genius. I assume TDA is the darkest artifices? Lady Midnight was brilliant. It captured the shadowhunter world in a whole new light and gave it a modern flare. Since it's only one book that has been published, perhaps read that first? :D
Thanks for the advice Thora, I will definitely start reading the Throne of Glass series after I've finished Lady Midnight. Also, everyone's been raving about A Court of Mist and Fury as well and so many other new awesome YA books that I haven't read yet because I've been catching up with the new popular classic (I guess) books I haven't read yet. I don't know how to fit all those books into my tbr list coz there's already like 12 books at the top including the Throne of Glass series. I'm so frustrated, I don't know whether I should read the books thay have been on my tbr list the longest first, or if I should read new popular books first. Idk I'll figure it out eventually and I will get around to reading them all (I hope before new awesome books get published so I can actually read them "on time" instead of late as usual)

Currently reading The Fever by Megan Abbott. Her style is not for everybody but I love it. My next book will be The Darkest Corners by Kara Thomas.
Currently reading 3 books! Pulse by Patrick Carmen, Chosen (House of Night #3) by P.C. Cast, and Wake by Amanda Hocking!

P.C. Cast has a unique writing style and I couldn't seem to put those books down. I hope you enjoy them just as much!!

I gave it 3 stars because there are a lot of things I did not like. e.g 1. the love square 2. insta-love 3. the pace of the story
But still, the plot was interesting enough to keep me going. I think I might even give the second book a try!

I actually liked it at the start, and didn't like the ending as much but I am curious to see how the series progresses. I agree with the love square (though I'm not sure I would count Peter as part of it, so triangle?) and the insta-love; those were the things that I really was against as well. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

I felt very similar. It was a quick easy read. Nothing new or extraordinary but i felt like the book knew what it was and delivered well on that. I agree, I liked the characters as well, but I didn't feel like it dragged on too much, maybe because I'm big on character development so I could live well with her inner struggles and worries. I'm gonna read the next book as well. But currently I'm looking forward to the new series of the author. sounds intresting.
