Jax (anti-cato) Our main man is TOURING! He'll be in Toronto on March 13th @ the Indigo in the Manulife Centre. Can't wait to meet him again!

Chris (haughtc) | 903 comments That's cool....has he posted a schedule?

(I can't check his Not-a-Blog from work)

message 3: by Jax (new)

Jax (anti-cato) Yes, but it's horribly incomplete so i'm not going to post it here. his site claims mostly featured speaker appearances at conferences and stuff...

message 4: by Chris , The Kingslayer (new)

Chris (haughtc) | 903 comments OK. I'll check his site later and see. I'm not real confident he'll end up anywhere near me.

message 5: by Jax (new)

Jax (anti-cato) where you at? I can check for you

message 6: by Chris , The Kingslayer (new)

Chris (haughtc) | 903 comments Bainbridge, Georgia.

Closest real city is Tallahassee, Florida.

message 7: by Jax (new)

Jax (anti-cato) I don't see anything. But the site also doesn't list his Toronto stop. I suggest checking out the bookstore/library sites for real info.

message 8: by Chris , The Kingslayer (new)

Chris (haughtc) | 903 comments OK..thanks for looking..

message 9: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Anywhere in the Northeast, Jax?

message 10: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Nope. :( Already checked. I was hoping he would come to NY again.

message 11: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Me too. *sigh*

message 12: by Jackie (last edited Feb 15, 2012 12:55PM) (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) This is what he has on his blog so far:

As Jax said it's all speaker and writer conferences. I did check the B&N for the NY location the other day though and didn't see anything for him.

message 13: by Felina (new)

Felina If he ever came to Salt lake I would die of shock. Even Denver. I'd travel to Denver.

message 14: by Jax (new)

Jax (anti-cato) ..Is Denver awful?

message 15: by Chris , The Kingslayer (new)

Chris (haughtc) | 903 comments Denver rocks.

message 16: by Felina (new)

Felina Denver is a nice place. Did my comment imply it was bad? I meant I'd be willing to travel to Denver since it is only 8 hours away and I have friends there.

message 17: by Jax (new)

Jax (anti-cato) I just read it as "I'd EVEN travel to Denver"

message 18: by Felina (new)

Felina Oh ha ha.

message 19: by Jax (new)

Jax (anti-cato) So i found out that he's not so much doing a 'book tour' but coming to Toronto to do a talk at the Bell Lightbox, so it's more a special event, he just also happens to be doing a signing the next night at a book store. what a nice guy to do both!

message 20: by Jax (new)

Jax (anti-cato) Going to sit on the Iron Throne today guys! Wish me luck :)

message 21: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) Don't cut your butt!

message 22: by Jax (new)

Jax (anti-cato) I'll try!

Hi, my question is
With ALL that traveling, who is writing "The Winds of Winter"? :(

message 24: by Jax (new)

Jax (anti-cato) Me and my friend joked about the same thing but really, cut the man some slack.

message 25: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Jax, how did the event go? Pictures?

message 26: by Jax (new)

Jax (anti-cato) uhm, yeah, i have three photos. I don't know where to put the pictures. There were SO many people (line up started at like..11am) that by the time my roommate got in line the line was already up the street and around the corner. By the time we got in (4 hours later) GRRM was only signing one book (was two previously) cuz there were so many people. You didn't get a chance to talk to him cuz the publishers pushed you along. He did look up at me and my roommate and called us the Tyroshi contingent ;) i giggled like an idiot.

message 27: by Jax (new)

Jax (anti-cato) OK, there are some here in my photos:

message 28: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Sounds awesome! That's how it was like when we saw him in NY...tons of people, a fast line and lots of giggling. ;)

message 29: by Jax (new)

Jax (anti-cato) I was just over at GRRM's live journal and some douche was all "line ups suck" and "let's have the book signing at some place SUPER far away, in a mall where it's civilized, George, you should make sure that it's a place where there can be a ticket system so people can go eat or watch a movie"

:( some people don't appreciate AND don't realize that GRRM has zero to do with where he does book signings and besides, the line up is one of the best parts...

message 30: by Becky (new)

Becky (beckyofthe19and9) That guy needs to make it a priority. Like we did. :D

message 31: by Jax (new)

Jax (anti-cato) srsly right? I was like that my roomie was willing to skip class and stand in line AND that my work is only a few blocks from that particular store.
