Arminius What would you rather have a football team which plunders the people with ticket prices or 11 libraries which will help many more people?

Arminius When Governor Rendell was asked about closing programs in Philadelphia, when acting as mayor, he replies that he had budget problems as mayor and swimming pools and libraries were on the line. He could not see swimming pools closed. He showed no concern for libraries however.
He went on to say he lobbied sports stars for money to support the pools.
In particular a Phillies pitcher who gave a $1000 for each win.

What does he not mention?
Answer: The $8 million that his beloved Eagles owe the city and that it would cover the cost of all 11 libraries on the city’s chocking block.
