Dexter?

Has anyone read the books the show was (I believe loosely?) based on?
They're by Jeff Lindsay. I was just wondering if any of you have read them and what you thought about them?

I love the show. So much that I actually bought the first book of the series, but I haven't started reading it yet.

I have read all of them except Double Dexter, which I have just started.

They are all great. When reading and watching the show, it is a little hard to keep things straight, because the show departs from the books but keeps the same characters.

Thanks. I thought I put it in the novel folder, but I guess it got mixed up somehow? Must have been something I did wrong on my part, I'm still getting use to these group boards and whatnot.

And thanks for the feedback, guys, I think I'm going to give them a read :)

No problem, Julia. About the only threads I have to move are the ones about specific novels, and that's only because I don't want them to get buried.

I heard that he kills some characters in the tv show yet has them still live in the book.
