Annie (annjordan) | 2 comments I have been trying to access JM's form site and keep getting a forbidden notice. Anyone know what's up with the site.

www.judithmcnaughtforum.com

I have to admit I have not been on the site in a long time, but I just saw on Goodreads

Someone Like You: A Novel

I wanted to know if there was any update on the form.

Katherine | 38 comments I'm not sure what happened to the forum. Many months ago it went off but said it would be back on in a month. That has not happened. It's unfortunate we haven't heard any new news. I'm hoping Someone like you's release date doesn't change again. Sorry not to be more help.

message 3: by Annie (new)

Annie (annjordan) | 2 comments @Katherine - It is frustrating. I am dying to know if JM will release this book or not. Hopefully she will.

message 4: by Katherine (new)

Katherine | 38 comments Mee too. It is so hard to find a writer like her. I hope she is well.

message 5: by Zumbagirl (new)

Zumbagirl | 9 comments Maybe she will surprise us and it will be released on time, which looks like April 2013 now. I can't wait! But I do wonder if something is either wrong with her or her publisher that they keep pushing publication back.

message 6: by Lovetoread (new)

Lovetoread | 5 comments I am beginning to wonder if she even cares about her fans? I know this is a very harsh thing to say but considering she is a very successful author who has a publicist yet they can't find any time to respond to her fans inquires. Sound a bit arrogant. I have moved on, there many great authors out there. What ever Judith McNaught's issues are, loyalty to her fans is not one of them. I have been a fan from the very beginning of her career so believe me it is just as hard to write these thoughts, as I am sure it is hard for you to read them. I agree that there is no one as talented as Ms. McNaught but enough is enough. Just sign me Used to be a Fan.

Annette (annettena) | 7 comments I have been very disappointed to get no news from Ms McNaught, but I do realize, she is a human being with the same issues and problems the rest of us have in our lives. I am going to give her the benefit of the doubt and figure that when she can relate to us again, she will. I was introduced to the idea of a romance novel by Until You. I absolutely was in awe of her writing ability. Since then I have become a fan of several romance authors. But she was my first and she made me realize why so many readers were fans of romance novels. She is a terrific talent and I hope that she will return to her readers. But, no matter what, I am a fan of her writing and an admirer of her talent. That will not change, even if I never hear another word written by her.

message 8: by Lovetoread (new)

Lovetoread | 5 comments I agree Annette, no one can take away the incredible talent that Ms. McNaught has. I also agree that successful authors have the same issues and problems to face as everyone else. But the point I was making is we do not have a publicist, Ms McNaught has one. And considering her many fans you would think someone in her organization would at least update her web page and answer the many inquires her fans have sent. I was a huge fan of Kathleen Woodiwiss, she was my first author who introduced me to romance novels. I guess I was just comparing how Ms. Woodiwiss used to treat her fans.

Annette (annettena) | 7 comments Lovetoread,

I agree, it would be kind to contact readers - in fact if she never intends to write again please advise.

Mary Balogh is a wonderful author and she responds on a regular basis to readers with inquiries. And she does it all herself. As do many other authors.

But, I think we simply have to accept what is - and move on. Then if we ever hear again, it will be like Christmas.

And I love your name....if I had been honest, I would have been identified as "Hi, I am Annette and I am a BookAddict".

Rosie Walker | 25 comments Will I agree too I have been waiting and waiting on an answer to Every Breath I Take and maybe she doesn't about her fans you say. Hey Publishers reply for Judith and let us know. By the way what is the web site for author Mary Balogh? thanks Rosie

Kate | 4 comments Can someone explain this http://www.amazon.com/COMPROMISE-N-E-... to me?

It says it was published in 2009. There is only 1 review on amazon, and it is non-descript. No book description. Thanks!!!

Patricia (goodreadscomPat_Fory) | 5 comments Think it's just one of those weird things you find on Amazon every once in a while. Strange cover.

Katie, that's just the French edition of Once and Always . I searched for it last year. I thought it was a title I missed reading.

Rosie Walker | 25 comments Hey everyone maybe JM is having personal issues, don't give up and she is one of my FAVORITE ROMANCE writers sometime I think we all have issues at one time or another. But like you all have said even her secretary could send us something on JM behalf.

message 18: by Patricia (new)

Patricia (goodreadscomPat_Fory) | 5 comments I had heard that her husband passed away...anyone know if that is true?

message 19: by Rosie (new)

Rosie Walker | 25 comments That could be the issue, no I have not heard that.

message 20: by Katherine (new)

Katherine | 38 comments Judith has been on her FB page several times this year, though it has been a month or two since her last post. But good to know she is still writing and hopefully we will see a book sometime soon.

message 21: by Aishwarya (new)

Aishwarya | 16 comments I never knew she was working on a new book. I hope and pray we get to see it.
I have been hunting for quite a while for other authors who could come close to her in writing intense romance, but so far it's been a hit-miss for me.
I can see that most of her novels are set 20-30 years before today, but they're still unsurpassed.

message 22: by Fatsy842 (new)

Fatsy842 | 1 comments JM will always be my favorite author, whether or not she release another book. Give her a break, she is 75 already. To those fans who are hurt by her nonresponse, just think of her as a grandmother who is not tech savy. 😊
