James Patterson has released 5, count them 5 books since April of this year!!! WHAT?! The man is a genius and my new hero. Most authors can barely get one book out in a year, it takes Dan Brown like 2 years to get one out (although there is a ton of research done). I am simply amazed that he can write so well, so often. He must be full of stories. He'd be fun at a dinner party! :)

Not sure if this is true or not, but I've seen it mentioned on another group here on Goodreads, that he doesnt have much input into the books he co-authors. I'm not trying to dis him though, still love his books!

So the other authors might just be using him for his name? That's crazy! In a way I hope it's not true...I'd like to think he co-writes these great stories! :)

Hi all, I'm a newbie who loves JP books. I heard that he oversees a team of people who write the books, so he's like the boss. I said on another forum that it's the JP brand I like, just like you have brands of clothes, etc, you like. I'm sure he would read the books and okay everything before production so they still have his stamp on them, or at least stamp of approval. I don't mind, I love them and can never get through them fast enough and then once finished I'm hanging for the next addition.

I'm currently reading You've Been Warned by JP and Howard Roughan. I'm just not getting the feel for this one and hardly enjoyed The Quickie. Anyone read You've Been Warned yet? Waiting on Double Cross from the library.

7th Heaven is out on the 4th of Feb, I sooo cant wait. Thats my favorite series from him so far.
I havent read the Alex Cross ones yet but am starting them soon.

Ellen, I haven't read You've Been Warned yet. That's a shame that you didn't enjoy it. I have heard mixed reviews on it...might have to see for myself. Thanks for the feedback! :)
