Andre Tanya what was the inspiration for your book?

Tanya I was inspired to write the book after a long search for a good novel. I wound up writing the book I wanted to read. Once I developed the first character the storyline began to unfold and the words poured out of me. I remember having a heard time writing fast enough. I wrote on anything I could find because part of the story would come out of me at the most inopportune times. Everytime I thought I knew what would come next, the characters would prove me wrong and they determined their own moves. I had to stay true the character traits I had developed. So now when I talk with aspiring novelists I encourage them to work on developing the characters first and then place them in their settings. This is also my cure for writer's block. Characters first.
