Cheri I started graduate school in the fall, so a book from my local library that I wanted to read, that exactly addresses your question, is on my to-read list: The New Social Face of Buddhism: A Call to Action (Paperback).

Hope this helps with your journey,

Cheri

Jason (jasonfmcdaniel) as far as Buddhist economics, you might be interested in reading Geshe Michael Roach.

Also, One City: A Declaration of Interdependence sounds interesting. I haven't read it yet but I regular listen to the author's podcast. Very thought provoking and he talks about Buddhist practice on and off the cushion.

Jason (jasonfmcdaniel) I just heard about this today and thought it might be of interest. It's not a book but it is a relevant podcast: Conscious Business
