She came back downstairs with the number in her hand. She looked to him. "I'm scared to call her.." she admitted
She glance to him, then nodded. She sat on the couch and dialed the number, and waited for a response.
A young lady answered the phone. "Hi, is this Ms.Jane Dollie?" she asked. The lady confirmed it, then asked who it was. "Uh..this is your daughter.." she said softly. You could hear her gasp clearly through the phone. Then Jane said, loud enough for even Zach to hear "I didn't want a daughter then, and I don't want one now!" Delilah hung up and went up to her room before the tear could fall.
Zach froze, he watched her run up but she left the phone before she ran up. Zach took the phone and called her again.
Delilah curled up on her bed, tears free falling down her face. Jane answered again. "What now?!" she asked, obviously annoyed.
Jane sighed. "Fine...what do you want?" she asked him. Delilah was oblivious what was happening downstairs
him*Zach started. "All her life she has been told a lie.. it was only yesterday that she found out about you.. we were hoping you would want to see her and talk to her... do you also know about your son?" He asked her.
"He went to war.. and he died.. do you even care? Your the only real family member she has left." He said.
Jane gulped silently. "She has the parents who adopted her. I don't need her, and she doesn't need me." and with that, she hung up.
She turned so she could look at him. "But I don't have anyone left...my real brother is dead, my parents have lied to me for 17 years, my dads in jail and my mom wished I wasn't born....how am I supposed to get through it?" she asked him quietly, on the verge from crying
"You still have a family that loves you no matter what and a younger brother that doesnt care if your addopted or not."
She slowly hugged him back, glad he was there. She needed him right now, and she was just realizing how much she actually liked him. But, realizing this scared her because she almost knew he didn't like her that much. And if he did actually like her that much, it gave all the more opportunity for hurt. 'I really wish I didn't over think things..' she thought to herself, closing her eyes.

She smiled. Logan came running into her room. "What're you doing," he asked curiously, obviously bored.
She chuckled a little, "Oh nothing much." she told him. Logan walked over to her and poked her. "You've been crying," he accused.
"No I haven't." she defended, poking him back.
"What was funny then?" he asked. Delilah looked at Zach, "Yeah, what was so funny?" she asked him with a smile.
