maybe it's because i always want the best, but i think all 3 of them, tessa, will, and jem will be happy in the end. plus, it's less than a year. princess is coming out in november or december. But....just sayin, will and tessa are totally gonna be together!!! :)

You have a point the way he refers to her in the other series shows a connection that a brother and sister might share..and who knows what they did to her parents in that club...

i have to say...YES!!!!! I HATE TESSA RIGHT NOW! but at the same time i think she did the right thing by thinking of Jem as well. I LOVE Jem and i REALLY don't want him to die, but if he does, at least he'll die happy right? i mean, he obviously loves tessa enough to ask her to marry him.So really i have mixed feelings about this.
And i feel really sorry for Will. :'( i hope they end up together in the end....sorry Jem.
I don't think Tessa should have said yes to Jem, because i'm pretty sure she loves up him but she isn't IN love with him. She's completley into will and she loves him more than she wants to show. Will is the right one for her, i don't think Jem could keep Tessa happy, sure for a short while but the absence of Will will be too much for her.And i really think it isn't fair to Will or Jem. It will tear them apart if Jem finds out about Will and Tessa.
I keep imagining Jem walking in on Will and Tessa kissing, i even dreamt that once!! :D
And by the way i compeltely freaked out when i found out her name was Tessa, i've never read my name in a book before :P

And Tessa saying Yes to Jem that might ruin Jem and Will's friendship :( I feel bad for Will. Im sure if she would've said yes to Will, I would've felt bad for Jem!

@#$@%# yeah, I do! Though this is a weird discussion to join because my name's Tessa. LOL. I loved Jem in CA but Will became my fav after I realized why he was being such an a-hole. Then he professed his love to T, and she said "Sorry, I'm engaged." I was SO mad. I really wish Mortmain would just kill her already. It's not like anyone likes her anyway.

Sadly, I think it's obvious she is going to end up with Will. I like Jem. A lot. I guess it's because I'm reading the Mortal Instruments series simultaneously with the Infernal Devices and Will just reminds me too much of Jace with Alec's face. He's not a fresh and intriguing character. Just tortured and sad like all the other brooding males of YA fiction (and I won't lie, my character in the story I'm writing is a broody male as well). Jem's character is refreshing, his sweetness like a breath of fresh air. I think more than anything, that Jem deserves this small bit of happiness. After all, Will has said that Jem is his sin and the poor boy is DYING.
We have all been talking about Jem dying because in MI there is nobody with his last name however in the new series that will be coming later that takes place 5 years after TMI, it will feature some charaters from the other series but just cameos. We have the past with ID and present TMI and now the future with TDA (The Dark Artficies (I think) ... Main character is called Emma Carstairs and takes place in LA (Jem's last name anyone????) So there is a decendant with his last name after all..just not one in MI...huumm..So do you guys still think he dies?
I am begining to wonder if it is not Tessa that dies and it has been her ghost that has been seen or Tessa being pregnant and then something happening to Jem....Any thoughts???

I love Jem just as Much..."Unfortunately I think he will but I could be wrong...but it is still possible for both to happen if he knew Tess was expecting and he was dying he would naturally turn to his best friend and ask for him to take care of them...I feel I am stretching it a bit though..

That would deffinatly be an intersting turn to the story!! maybe the name Carstairs is passed down from a cousin?? Maybe both boys end up with someone else or Tessa does die and we are seeing her ghost!! Really ready to read this book!!!

I think Jem would want the honors if he knew what truly laid in Tessa's heart..he would consider her acceptance as a "pity" marriage and be absolutely heartbroken...However, I don't believe he will find out the truth about her feelings..but maybe he will discover Will's feelings. So how about this??
Tessa and Jem tie the knot..then in a passionate celebration she gets knocked up...then Jem gives his life (which is limited anyways) to save Tessa...Will steps in, picks up the pieces, marrys her and raises her and Jem's child as his own??

Why does everyone think that it's Tessa having everyone's baby?!?!?!!? Cassandra Clare is always throwing these brothers and sisters at us that we never knew...I would NEVER wish this, but what if Will's sister got knocked up and that's how their name got passed, and Tess and Jem have a kid?Or it can be the other way around; where Jem has a sister/brother we never knew about and she/he has a baby and Jem dies while Tess and Will end up w/ each other...(I like this one better).
Just thought about the best ending......What if Jem falls in love with Will's sister....then Will and Tessa can be together forever...
Yes! I so want to slap some sense into her! I realize she loves both Will and Jem but seriously Will is sooo much better (even though I absoultly love Jem also). I'm kinda scared that something will happen to Jem in a really harmful way(emotionally and/or physicly) so she can be with Will (because he is the obvious choice). Come on! I really don't want Jem to die either. Its so frusterating.
