Does anyone else want to slap Tessa!?!?!

Yeah, Tess could probably use a good slapping. It might clear her head. I admire her as a character, but really, can it be that hard to choose the person you love? However, I don't know if I'd be able to choose between Will and Jem. Clockwork Princess will be interesting. If she picks Will, I will be brokenhearted, and if she picks Jem I will be brokenhearted. I am highly awaiting the ending of this one.

However, I don't know if I'd be a..."That's it though she's already chosen Jem because she's loves him and engaged to him regardless of her feelings for Will.. she's not stinging Will along she told him point blank they couldn't be together after he declared his love for her.. she's not deciding who to choose - Will or Jem, as of the end of CP Tessa has already chosen Jem.
She may have second thoughts in CP2 but for now she's decided to marry Jem and has told Will that they could never be.
i would really like to do that! i mean is she seriously that thick to go and pick jem, when she herself knows crystal clear that jem's love cannot fill the spot that will has in her heart? she yearns for will even when she is next to jem!
ok she loves both of them and all that but woman if your so smart as people say then seriously get a grip and pick the right guy!
oh and if the series ends with her and jem and will is all heart broken i am going to go on a hunger strike or protest in front of cassie's house. arghhhhhhhh how can she do this to will? stupid, stupid girl

I wonder whether Tessa will turn out to be the Starkweather child (very Great Expectations!) following a warlock make over. Jem's number is definitely up - it's the only way Tessa and Will can get together guilt free. Either that or Will dies (shocker).
I like Will and Jem both, but i think Tessa sort of belongs with Will... and jem deserves someone who loves him and no one else. hey maybe Tessa should just pick Magnus and be done with it ;)

I think she does love him maybe not in the way she loves WIll but he broke her heart. And she made a promise to Jem and its too little too late. She is doing the honorable thing and so is WIll. I do have to admit I cried at the whole ending! Will without love after all he has endured and the sacrifice Tessa is making by standing by Jem it was emotional for me but I am a sensitive girl. Ha! I thought it was a great read.

I fully agree to anybody who likes Will better than Jem. She is obviously going to end up with Will but I still don't lime the mess she got herself into by getting engaged to Jem- something bad will happen, it is just inevitable.
We know something happens. There are Herondales in the Mortal Instruments (Jace) and we also know that Herondale men get that star scar/mark on them, which is claimed to be something about the angel. Maybe that is what Tessa is, a hybrid angel/human. We know warlocks are hybrid human/demon and that faries are supposed to be hybrid angel/demon, so why not. The children of Will and Tessa could have this mark because of it. We also know something happens to Will, because Camilla mentions it to Magnus in City of Fallen Angels(?). Something about trying to atone for not saving him. We are just going to have to wait and see what happens in Clockwork Princess.
I don't want to slap Tessa, but strangling her to death might be a good idea..., hell scratch that! death is too sweet for her, but maybe a few tortures might work. ;))

I could soooooo see that happening. It is totally something Clare would do. Not neccesarily the whole stabbing Jem but the Will part. I can picture him getting up to toast while he is wasted and then saying something about him loving Tessa.
i think tessa is part angel. if she is and if she ends up with will that would make sence cuz remember the herondale family is marked by the angle.(they mention it in the TMI books) wat if tessa is a full blooded angel!

I love jem and I know will had to be mean to her but he's the one who pushed Tessa into gems arms, I think jem deserves some true happiness before he dies...IF he dies

I have the feeling though that there will be ALOT of heartbreak in Clockwork Princess. (Who doesn't?)

I wish Will and Tessa would end up together too. But, Will treated her horribly, for his own reasons, he purposely pushed her away. Tessa looked for love in someone else instead, trying to forget Will. So, it makes sense that she found love with Jem. But, when Will confesses his feelings, I think she realizes that she wants Will more, but she can't ever hurt Jem.
no, I don't want to slap her...I WANT TO PUNCH HER IN THE FACE OVER AND OVER AND OVER. How could she do that to Will? They are perfect together and she obviously loves Will more since she has to tell herself that she loves Jem over and over in her head.Whenever she sees Will her heart leaps out of herself and she has to control herself to not touch him; where it is easy to not touch Jem.

I cried sooooooo hard when she had to tell Will that she was engaged to Jem. I cried even harder when he said he would do ANYTHING just to hold her in her sleep on page 403.
I wouldn't say I wanted to slap her, but I was definitely pretty pissed about the engagement. I love Jem, he's an amazing character, and very brave and strong despite his past. But I don't see him with Tessa, they just seem more like good friends. I see her with Will, it just seems like they fit better together. I really don't want Jem to die though, when/if he does I will definitely ball my eyes out.
I can't wait for the third book. When Will's sister showed up it was just a "What!?" moment for me. I normally like to read series after they have all been published just for this reason..so I don't have to wait for the next one to come out. But this series is defiantly worth the wait. I am just impatient.
Where are all the Jem people??? I mean, I feel sorry for Will and all, but come on, Jem is just so nice, and honest, and sweet plus, thanks to the scene in CP, we also know he has some awesome moves. And loving the badass is sooo overrated... Will isnt even one! Hes a fake badass, and thats not cool.I think Tessa made the right choice when she picked Jem, but you have to be really naive to think that shes acctually going to stay with him... Jem is probably going to die on their wedding day, or Tessa and Will are going to succumb to a moment of weakness and have a very passionate, very secret affair... That everyone knows about except for Jem because he is so blinded by his love for Tessa and trust in his best friend.

I really wish that Tessa just broke the news to Jem. No offense to him , but he should realize that he actually loves Sophie in the next book and Tessa should end up with Will. Also Will is, in my opinion, hotter than Jem and also he has a temper/atitude which makes him even hotter. Tessa should totally choose Will Herondale so that he doesen't hurt himself over the loss of Tessa. It would be really sad if he died/dies because I totally love him. And right now, Tessa doesen't have much respect from me. Hopefully she earns more respect from me in th next book and chooses Will Herondale instead of Jem because otherwise I will really be hearthbroken.

Ria, that was a bad match from the start...I think Sophie just went out w/ him to get her mind off Jem.
But Kayla, I really though they had something. Gideon really likes her...he went to the institute for her!
But it could of just been because he was spying! Remember that part where Tessa and Sophie overheard them talking about stuff they would've had to go looking around the institute for? I wouldn't even know how to explain that...
Ya...but maybe something happens with Gideon and maybe dies or gets kidnapped? I don't know...there is a whole list of possibilities that can happen with all of them. I hate that we have to wait soooooooo long until we find out! Every time I think of Will I cry inside...sometimes outside too; so I try not to think about him in school.

I do feel bad foe Will because he loved her and "couldn't" show it. He was only trying to protect her and Jem got to her first! I love them both but feel more pity and bad for Will

Nyaarg I think they should just have a polygamous relationship / threesome and be done with it. It's the only way to ensure everyones happiness, since Tessa is immortal and Will & Jem aren't. Besides, there's some serious bromancing going on between Will and Jem anyway, so they may as well be gay.And then once Will and Jem die, Tessa can just get with Magnus - the immortal Eurasian.
