Have to say I am soo disappointed she picked Jem.!!!!! Poor poor Will the bad thing is this girl loves them both she seems to love will more even but won't take this away from Jem honestly she don't deserve Jem at all I wish Jem had ended up with Sophie instead!!!

it could go the other way you know, there is still one book left. I like tessa, she is such a strong heroine but of course like many other YA heroines, makes stupid decisions regarding the men in her life.
i dont know. tessa might realise that she is so totally in love with will and ditch jem. But i dont know how this would happen without her seriously hurting his feelings unless jem breaks off the engagnent. so many questions and possible answers! i guess we wont know until we read clockwork princess. cant wait!
YES!!!! Tessa you got yourself into a serious situation with these boys! and if you don't pick Will idk what I will do! WILL ftw<3 not that i don't like you Jem I just like will better...
Cassie said we'll be surprised by who Tessa picks. And she said that in an interview regarding CP2. So Tessa may not have made her final choice yet. As for accepting Jem's proposal- it makes for GREAT storytelling.
I cannot wait for the 3rd book. Eventhough Tessa said yes to Jem i think she's gonna ened up with Will. I just feel so bad for him he doesnt desrve it. If she ended up with Jem it would be to predicted in my case but i want her to pick will just make it interesting. Eventhough i think Jem will die..
I definitely want to Slap Tessa after she kisses Will at the Ball. Thinking that the Kiss didn't matter only because the Lemonade had warlock powder and that's why she disqualified the kiss, she had with Will. UGGH!
I totally want to slap Tessa. She makes me so mad. I hate that she totally thought the only reason that she kissed Will at the ball was because of the drink. She only took a sip of the drink while Will drank the entire thing. So when you think about it Tessa was way more in control of her body. I really want Tessa to be with Will. She's in denial.

I'm totally on the Will/Tessa team but in those circumstances I would have said yes to Jem too. Helloo! Tessa had no idea that Will loved her. All her experiences with him were either bad with him pushing her away or murky. She loves Jem and she thought that Will didn't love her and she wants to make Jem happy. Don't forget that the story happens in the Victorian period, so her decision was normal. Was she supposed to pine over Will forever? You see that she regrets her decision when Will finally tells her the truth but she cannot turn to Jem and say, sorry buddy, I can't marry you anymore because the guy that I really love just finally told me he loves me back and btw, I'm talking about your best friend Will.Just be patient because I'm sure everything will be straighten out in the final book.

I'm not neccessarily on a "team" because both boys are equal in my eyes, which makes it THAT much harder to choose between the two. I know that in Clockwork Princess, Jem is going to die. I just feel it. I know it's crazy to say, but if you think about it, we all know Tessa deep down, in her heart of hearts wants to love Will, and ultimately be with him. And with Jem's predicted death in Clockwork Princess, I think he will finally realize Will's love for Tessa, and while he lays dying, give Will his blessing to be with Tessa. this is the only way I see Will/Tessa happenning... Tessa doesnt have it in her to break Jem's heart.
Yes. Cant she just chose one of them and stop all of this drama. But maybe the problem isn't her not being able to chose but to stay faithful to the boy she did choose.
YES, Will has sacrificed everything and finally they were going to be together, but she was like I love Jem. She couldn't even say she loved Will. ARGGHH, but I feel bad for Jem, who knows what if he falls for Will's sister, maybe?

My prediction is will will get really drunk on tessa and jems wedding day and exclaim that he love tess in front of every body then tessa will stab jem and say "woops my finger slipped" and then will and tessa will be together and get up to no good a ( meant in both ways ;D) and thn they will find a way for will to become immortal and live forever the end :)or jem will like somebody else and then will and tess are together

Will called her a prostitute and acted like a d**k and was only occassionally nice to her..yes he had good reason to be that way but Tessa didn't know that until she'd already fallen for Jem and agreed to marry him. What was Tessa meant to do dump Jem because Will was now able to be with her.. She loves Jem that's why she said yes when he proposed, he's kind and honest with her, why would she want to hurt him by dumping him for his best friend. Some comments i've read are saying she should just choose one guy.. but she did already, she chose Jem and told Will they can't be together, so that's hardly being indecisive or causing drama.. she didn't give Will any false hope by telling him she loved him too.. she was being selfless because if she told Will she loved him, then Will would think he had a chance with her. We all know how Will felt for Tessa.. but Tessa didn't he rarely showed her how he felt, he called her a prostitute in Clockwork Angel, which is bad enough in this day and age but in victorian times it would be the biggest insult a man could give a woman.
I was upset that she didn't choose Will, but I can completely understand why she stuck with Jem.. I respect her more for not dumping one guy she loves because said guy's best friend who she may love has told her he wants to be with her after months of treating her poorly.. she acted with grace and dignity by not stringing poor Will along.
I do have faith that she'll end up Will in the last book.

Curly Girly I think you may be on to something there with Gabriel and Cecily It will probably start as a revenge thing against Will but end up with them in love PLUS future Lightwoods do have the famous black Hair and blue eyes we SOO love.... I understand the comments of Tessa choosing Jem because Will was horrible to her and very rarely letting his feelings for her show. I totally get that especially in the Victorian Era for him to call her a prostitue is the worst insult any women could recieve . I just dont feel like its fair to choose Jem I think Tessa really loves Jem as a friend hes thoughtful and kind to her makes her feel special but I think she mistakens friendship with romantic love because her heart is vunerable shes already loves Will I think Jem deserves better than 2nd best in someones heart and pity because he is ill Jem is a good character and its hard to not like him even thoughI did try especially when he started to make the moves on Tessa....sigh But I think ultimately Jem deserves better then Tessa...especially when she loves Will soo much and my heart just broke for Will finally when the weight that has been crushing him for all these years is lifted he gets crushed by the girl he loves poor Herondale boys always getting hosed!!!! I understand that Tessa cant just tell Jem....hey by the way.....I know you love me and all......but yea...I love Will..... sorry but I think for her to make a snap decision like that was totally irresposible everytime we turn around shes making out with one then the other not really a good time to make a decision on marrying someone when you were just getting down and dirty on the balcony with another guy!!! I have faith in Cassandra Clare to find a way for everything to work out I just have to be patient...sigh
Well about the Family Connections, my thoughts:*Either Cecily Herondale & Gabriel -> Black Haired Lightwoods
*Sophie & Gideon -> Assuming dark hair runs in Sophie's bloodline
*Gabriel & Gideons Sister is Married (dont forget) -> Dark Haired Lightwoods, if dark hair runs in the husbands bloodline (And although she is female, there may be some complex reason in the future, where her offspring (or offsprings children) decide to keep her maiden name, and not take on the last name of the father)
*Will & New Female Character (highly unlikely) -> Intgrate Blonde hair to bloodline
*Will & Tessa -> If Tessa and Nate are truly cousins, then Blonde hair runs in her family, seeing that Nate is fair haired. & this is also assuming that she can bear children, & that Jem ultimately dies in Clockwork Princess

Maybe the fact that Will's sister shows up at the institute asking for residency will tip the scales on the whole Will/Tessa/Jem thing. Who knows?

I totally agreee...i love will , but this "team x team" is getting exausting...and in this book we don't have this lame love triangles! I love Will, but I respect Tessa's choice...I really hope she could end up with Will (maybe, if Jem doesn't die, he can be with Cecily????)!!!

No, Melody, i do not agree with your point of view with this.I honestly think that it is good that Tessa got Jem instead of Will! Though, either guy she would pick, she could not go wrong! though, i am on both sides of Will and Jem. :)

actually I think that Jem will die in the last book...I don't know-I always had and still have the feeling that Will and Tessa have a stronger connection and their relationship is far more passionate...but Jem is a good guy and he loves her honestly...I think if he is going to die, then Will'll struggle a lot before he finally starts sth with Tessa..oh everything is sooo complicated...nobody knows what'll happen-but I think thats the thing everybody loves about C.Clare's books :) can't wait for clockwork princess...!

Well Pauline, I read Magnus's Vow at the end of Clockwork Angel were he states quite clearly that Tessa lives forever and is immortal like him.

I don't want to slap her. I'm happy she is with Jem. I'm just kind of upset she is not fully over Will yet but hopefully in the next book she gets over him and falls even more in love with Jem. It will just take a little more time for her to fully get over him.

The worst part is waiting a year to figure out what happens with the relationships.. it is so annoying to have to wait!
yes, thats right! and at the moment my problem is that I am really unsure if I would be happy if Will and Tessa would become a couple in the next book...don't get me wrong, I am absolutley pro Will, but its so sad cause Jem will suffer if she's leaving him for his best friend or he will die...thats so f***ing sad !!
