Casey Wade This book is written so beautifully! I espeically love the part were the author describes the number zero in referance to Wilbur. My husband is a high school math teacher and I hung it in his classroom.

Mirajul Made me sad!

Nattaporn Children book but make me cry and appreciated friendship. No matter who you are if you have just one true friend, your live is complete.
It's a great book to give to children to read.

Charlottes Web is a truly amazing book, I am 22 and this will always be my favorite !

Madison Best book ever, but I liked Winn Dixie better too

Deb Gosh, I love this book. That final sentence may be the best last line in any novel, for children or adults: "It is not often that someone comes along who is a true friend and a good writer. Charlotte was both."

Jennifer I've been reading it to my children, and could not hold it together for the last chapters - trying not to bawl like a baby. It resonates in a completely different way now that I am older! And yes, that last line is so perfect.

Alicia I'm really VERY surprised that some people seem to not have even liked this book; much less adored it. I haven't read it since I was a kid, and am in my late twenties, but it will always hold a very special place in my heart.

Cindy Wagner Charlotte's Web was a wonderful part of my childhood! Never did like spiders, but Charlotte was in a category of her own.

Marti When I was a student teacher, I wove a several weeks' long unit around this lovely book. It's a book I like to re-read every year or so because I believe it has so much to offer. As a teacher, with younger students (3rd or even 4th grade) I tend to mostly focus on the plot and characters. With somewhat older children, I like to introduce the idea of theme and pose the question, what was the big lesson that E.B.White was trying to teach us? As a special ed. teacher, this is a great book to use for teaching social skills. I love Charlotte's loyalty, even to the end of her life and the way in which Wilbur was determined to save Charlotte's eggs. This lovely book is a true classic that has enriched my personal and professional life.

Kressel Housman Anyone who loved this book will want to read E. B. White's biography, The Story of Charlotte's Web. It helps if you've read Stuart Little, too.

Tad When I was a reading aid for Third Grade, the kind teacher allowed me and six of her brightest to break away into the hallway. Those mornings were the most memorable of my teaching life. We chose to look at how E.B. White used description and appeal to the senses to really make us a feel as if we were in a barn or a field.
I find this book appeals to the adult in me as well as a Zen guide. The passages in which White reflects about the sounds of birds and the smells of the barn remind me to taste and enjoy what there is.

:) well when i was only seven i found this ripped book in the basement... it was this book. i loved it. but now..... i dont think its THAT good. :-\

Emilee Martin I loved this book so much! I adored the different personalities of all the animals. I think the author did a great job writing this book. Charlotte's Web is by far one of my favorite childhood books. I personally am not a fan of spiders, but Charlotte had a personality of her own that I loved. I'm also a pig lover so me and Fern shared some similarities with animals. I would highly suggest this book to a lot of people! It's very very cute (:
