When I first read that book, I thougt Stefan. But when I started watching series, my vote goes to Damonnnn!!!!! :)

My opinion on this always changes, I find it so difficult to decide! Sometimes I think Stefan, but then he can do something which makes me prefer Damon and then he ends up doing something, and its back to Stefan again!

Definitely Damon, only Damon. I just have to add that vampire dairies season 4 has just ended and I waited to watch it all in one instead of weekly. Now it's got to be
DAMON, MORE DAMON, AND THEN LOTS MORE DAMON, Elena should just stick with Damon, she has so much more fun with him and the chemistry between them is amazing.

At first I was team Stefan an I hated Damon. Now I pretty much hate Stefan and I'm team Damon. Plus in the newest books, the ones L.J. Smith didn't write, the writer made Stefan a total wuss. He's totally whipped by Elena and he does what ever she says against his better judgement. It's stupid. I also stopped reading the knew ones when I found out that L.J. Smith wasn't writing them, they just weren't as good too.

Though on the T.V show I'm team Stefan all the way. I pretty much hate Damon on there.

Damon. I don't like how Stefan is all high and mighty about certain things. And his real emotions seem to rarely show in a force like Damon's. Damon claims he's not all that good or emotional, but he's proven otherwise. He's got a good heart and admits that he can and will do bad when needed. Their relationship is passionate and real. He's one awesome character.

What's wrong with you..

i havent actually read the books but i have seen the show and i am up to date. so i choose Damon , some people hated him at the start but from the time that he came in through that window i fell in love lol. he was perfect from the start and i wouldnt have him any other way. his charisma is amazing , his blue eyes and dark hair make him and ian somerhalder who plays damon , the most beautiful guy ever.

Damon, there never was a question about it. Stefan always fights so hard who he is. I always see rainbows and unicorns when I picture him. Damon has never denied who he is and what he wants. I admire that about him, and who doesn't love a little bad boy? Plus too Damon's character has really grown in the novels.

Damon...I think that Elena is better with damon. He isn't ashamed of himself nor will he be ashamed of his relationship, like Stefan is. I don't see how Elena and Stefan's relationship can continue, even when he had her forever, at first, he wished that she had really died. Damon would take her any way that she wanted to be as long as he could be with her.

Stefan is perfect for Elena even though she is drawn to Damon in her vampire form. Stefan was there from the beginning and he is the one that has a true affection for Elena. There is the fact that Stefan does what Elena wants over his wants, and Damon worries only for himself and occasionally does things to benefit Elena but Stefan's actions are always unconditional and because he truly loves Elena.

DAMON SALVATORE! Just saying. Seriously though, I was team Stefan originally, but he became a real boring person..plus, Ian Somerhalder is SO much hotter than Paul Wesley.

Damon's mean and selfish. Stefan is the Salvatore brother with the genuinely good heart. I like my fictional vampires noble. Team Stefan all the way.

Damon! Stefan just isn't a strong vampire in character he is almost as bad as Edward from Twilight. At least Damon embraces his vampire-ness(yes I made up a word). I think he is the better choice for Elena, they just fit better they even have more chemistry. Elena is just holding on to Stefan because she is afraid to break his heart which is admirable but she needs to open her eyes and go for Damon.

Damon!! I love him in the books and in the tv show. (;

Damon! I don't like Stefan, never have, never will. Damon might seem really mean and he might act mean but he's not. He's absolutely perfect for Elena, and she needs to wake up and realize it! Like soon!
