Has anyone read this? not sure if the humour could be described as "quirky" but is certainly very unusual . . . I will have to see if I can find my copy and show you a few examples . . .

Not sure that its "quirky", but people-bicycle transferability certainly a bit unusual! :-)

A bit late here, but there's a lot more quirkiness to be found in there, how about the scientist DeSelby and his theory of dark air filling the sky at night?

Flann O'Brien is one of the greatest Irish writers, I think "The Third Policeman" is his best, but "The Poor Mouth" is also recommended.
