Ruth Has anyone read this? not sure if the humour could be described as "quirky" but is certainly very unusual . . . I will have to see if I can find my copy and show you a few examples . . .

Ruth "The gross and net result of it is that people who spend most of their natural lives riding iron bicycles over the rocky roadsteads of this parish get their personalities mixed up with the personalities of their bicycle as a result of the interchanging of the atoms of each of them and you would be surprised at the number of people in these parts who nearly are half people and half bicycles".

Not sure that its "quirky", but people-bicycle transferability certainly a bit unusual! :-)

Think the pink labcoat might be a stylish look! :-)

Gomez Addams | 5 comments A bit late here, but there's a lot more quirkiness to be found in there, how about the scientist DeSelby and his theory of dark air filling the sky at night?

Flann O'Brien is one of the greatest Irish writers, I think "The Third Policeman" is his best, but "The Poor Mouth" is also recommended.
