The Da Vinci Code
discussion
The Da Vinci Code, or Angels and Demons?
I don't believe what was written in the first one, but it was full of good action. The following one was boring, and the movie worse.
Angles And Demons .. far better ..has unusually more IQ and keeps the most seasoned reader guessing ..
Not to forget mentioning that I love The Da Vinci Code, I absolutely adored Angels & Demons! I just liked the Illuminatie clues better, but the writing in both books were stunning! I love Dan Brown's writing.
I liked The Da Vinci Code 100 times better. Angels kinda bored me. As for The Lost Symbol....I've had it for a while and I've tried reading it but I just can't seem to get into it. I keep comparing them all the Da Vinci Code and I guess that's bad on my part but I can't help it. I loved it!

The Da Vinci Code, with no doubt!
I liked both books but I have to say that I liked Angels and Demons better because it wasn't as contrived as DaVinci Code.
The Da Vinci Code as it's the 1st book that I read of Dan Brown! I liked Angels and Demons..But my favorite books of Dan Brown would be Da Vinci Code and The Lost Symbol :)
I found Code to be so bad that I didn't bother with Angels. Dan Brown makes money because he's controversial. Personally, if I'm going to read bad writing, I'd much rather read Last of the Mohicans. On the plus side, I have no intention of touching Twilight, so maybe Brown deserves a few points for intriguing me enough to read Code.
Believe all the hype. It is no accident that The Da Vinci Code is the best selling novel of all time. This is a brilliantly conceived book, as well written as any thriller out there, only better. Why? Because it's not a mystery about spies, corrupt corporations, or hi-tech weapons. It's about Divine mysteries that have been kept from us by the permutations of time and by corrupt individuals in high spiritual places. These are core issues of spirituality and gnosis that resonate with our pysche and subconscious views, built up over lifetimes. It is this that makes the book so compelling. Fortunately, the fact that the author is an very good at his craft, adds to the enjoyment.
I prefer Angels and Demons over The Da Vinci Code, in both book and movie form, not that either movie was good.
I would say 'Da Vinci Code' is the better of the two...Simply because it deals with a seemingly vague yet a deep rooted fear in all human hearts - Does our faith hold true; it brings out the other side of the all-good and all-glorified side of religion. It's like unveiling the 'Dark Side Of The Moon'
Whereas, Angels and Demons seems to deal with a very obvious struggle; and not to mention, a struggle of a particular age and not an ever perpetual worry or the human heart.
The choice between Science and Religion, is a construct of our situation today as a society but Faith, now that's a question for eternity, for as long as the human race has existed to as far as it would go...
i like angels and demons better then the Da Vinci Code but the Lost Symbol is my favourite so:1 The Lost Symbol
2 Angels and Demons
3 The Da Vinci Code
although i really like the Da Vinci Code it wasn't as good as the other 2.
I loved them both but preferred Angels and Demons, I thought the latter book had more twists and turns and had more mystery to it.Loved them both though
Da Vinci Code is one of the most over-rated books ever written in my opinion. Can't say anything about the movies or other Dan Brown books because I have no interest in reading or seeing them. I think their popularity lie in that they trash organized religion, specifically Christianity, which seems to be society's favorite scapegoat, blamed for all that's wrong with the world. But that's okay. It's easier to blame the Church for our screwed up lives than it is ourselves, I suppose.
I liked both books..a little bit the same style, story, etc. But I found both of them very captivating. I've read Da Vinci Code in just two days, couldn't let the book out of my hands
I loved Angels and Demons better than Da Vinci Code.Eventhough Da Vinci Code gained much more popularity because of its controversy,I was more captivated by Angels and Demons..And I definitely agree with Ceanne that The Lost Symbol is the BEST...
I don't know - from what I have heard there are books out there that are even better than these two. John Atchity's - The Messiah Matrix http://my-addictionbooks.blogspot.com...
and Laurence O Bryans - Istanbul Puzzle

Angels and Demons over Da Vinci Code but The Lost Symbol trumps all. Also, if you enjoy Lost Symbol's theme, I suggest reading the Golden Compass (aka His Dark Materials) trilogy by Phillip Pullman.
buku yang aku rekomendaiskan untuk teman-temanku yang suka sejarah...buku ingin membuatku tertari kepada leonardo da vinci

I second you!
I read Angels and Demons first since it came out before The Da Vinci Code, and I loved it far more than Da Vinci Code. I'm a fan of the four elements, so I loved what Brown did with that.I started reading The Lost Symbol, but I didn't get into it as much as the others and ended up putting it down, but I do still want to read it.
I first read the Da Vinci Code and I liked it then I read Angels and Demons and loved it more, I liked the pace in Angels and Demons, the rich information and research. and last I read the lost symbol and I thought it was too boring especially at the end.I only saw the movie of the Da Vinci Code. I think it's okay but better than I expected. Of course the book is much better.
I have yet to read Angels and Demons, but I have read the DaVinci Code and Lost Symbols and I totally loved both of them! I know I've read them "out of order", but considering they are independent books, it really doesn't matter. Dan Brown does an amazing job of provoking the reader to think! Also, if anyone of you haven't, you should be reading the illustrated versions of these books. It really does add to your education and enables your imagination to place these items in their exact form.
Personally, I think Mr. Brown is a poor researcher but a very talented fiction writer. Too mnany people who read these two books take them as truthful and historical. The latter is the better written one, bit onyl slightly.
angels and demons, the da vinci code was excellent too, but i found that angels and demons was less predictable
Hey Emily, You should have added a poll... it's hard to tell now what the majority think.I'm still voting for The Da Vinci Code
I loved both the books, but I loved Angels and Demons better.
It was a more thrilling, edge-of-the-seat story than the Da Vinci Code.

I personally enjoyed Angels and Demons more since it was a little bit deep..."
I have read all three, Da Vinci, Angels and Demons and Lost Symbol. My favorite is Angels and Demons by far. Da Vinci Code is good, but the Lost Symbol dragged at times. Maybe it was because I was expecting to much.
