Jessa (Jessa1983) Please post links to online resources that you think may help others or that have helped you. Hopefully if we can provide a nice list of resources, it will make it easier when one of the group members is in a bad place emotionally and needs help!

Jessa (Jessa1983) Eating Disorders Anonymous also has physical meetings in every state in the USA, and also in Canada, the Ukraine, Ireland and South Africa.

You can go to this link to look for a local meeting by you. All meetings are anonymous and are free to go to. You can also get a coin for each month/year in recovery and find a sponsor to help you when you may relapse.

Jessa (Jessa1983) This site is incredible. Operation Beautiful's goal is to end negative self-talk and they do this by putting positive sticky notes all over and taking photos of it. I love this site!

I hope sometime this month we can have an activity where we all post a sticky note somewhere with a positive saying or quote and then we can share the photos here on our group page and on Operation Beautiful!

Jessa (Jessa1983) Here is some helpful info about ADD/ADHD & ED, which often co-exist.

I personally do have ADD and until I finally was treated for it for the first time last year (which was not without it's hurdles, as most meds for ADD suppress hunger), I would completely forget to eat or drink fluids. I have been in the hospital over 30x for dehydration and while sometimes I intentionally restricted fluids, there are other times where I would also just plain forget until I would get to the point of nearly passing out.

Some people with ADD/ADHD also will binge after forgetting to eat for so many hours or to soothe and try and slow their brain down. I have to say that one of the biggest parts of my recovery was also treating underlying disorders, which for me was ADD and PTSD. If you think you may have ADD/ADHD, I suggest checking out this site.

No problem Grace :) I thought these would especially be great for you since your parents aren't really wanting you to seek treatment, etc. at least these you could do at home and still get some help.
